HoYoverse might be going all out with four new game projects, including an MOBA, an MMO, a Co-op Sandbox, and a Shooter

HoYoverse already looks locked in for a massive 2026 and beyond, as there are so many amazing titles coming. Upcoming projects like Honkai: Nexus Anima and the cozy life-sim Petit Planet are already building excitement, while Versapura hints are hyped too. But what if I tell you there might be four more coming?

Yes, that’s pretty much the same reaction I had after new project descriptions suddenly surfaced online, revealing what appears to be four separate HoYoverse pre-research titles. We’re talking about a social lifestyle MMO, a full-blown UE5 MOBA, a fantasy sandbox co-op experience, and even a realistic military sci-fi shooter. That’s some lineup for sure, and we’ll learn about it more.

Diving deep into the four upcoming HoYoverse projects: Quite ambitious and exciting

Out of the four projects revealed, thanks to Star Rail Universe on X, the Lifestyle MMO Pre-research Project would be getting the first mention. According to the translated text, this multiplayer title will have social roleplay, sandbox gameplay, and life simulation mechanics, while also mentioning AI.

Here, you will supposedly be able to “become different versions of yourselves,” while interacting in a colorful shared world with friends, with mentions of an AI-driven pipeline also surfacing. I would guess this game to be related to the mystery Nodusfall trademark filing earlier this month, which carried a very similar description.

Another project description directly references a UE5-powered 3D MOBA featuring fair competitive gameplay, multi-character PvP, and a western-stylized art direction. This lines up with reports from March 2026, where job postings hinted that HoYoverse was entering the MOBA genre with a new Unreal Engine 5 title.

The third project appears to be a UE5 fantasy sandbox game focused on multiplayer co-op, exploration, and AI-driven systems. Details remain extremely limited, but the repeated mention of AI integration again stands out. The final one would be a UE5 Realistic Shooter with military sci-fi themes, hardcore shooting mechanics, and tech-driven gameplay.

Something I found interesting about the four projects is the repeated use of the “AI+” development language. It’s no surprise that it comes shortly after reports that HoYoverse plans to invest around $14.6 billion into AI development over the next three years.

Again, whether these are early experiments or full production titles remains unknown for now, but the scale of ambition is clear. There is also this “wow” factor when you consider all these descriptions, all cater to different genres, especially the MOBA mention, which is quite exciting; we might have a new player in this vast market.
