Innersloth, the creators of Among Us, has promised us tons of content for the future, including some new maps. The release of the brand new fourth map is nearing and we should see it in-game soon. Here is all the information you need to know about the inclusion of this new stage in-game.
Among Us New Map
1. Close relation to The Henry Stickmin Collection
The Henry Stickmin Collection is another game developed and published by Innersloth for PC. Innersloth has already announced that the new stage/map in Among Us will be based on this other game. This is definitely confirmed by the developers however it is unknown how the map and the game will be linked. Therefore, you can expect a few easter eggs as well. This is likely a strategy from Innersloth to drive some popularity from Among Us to their other games.
2. Larger than Polus
The new stage is also expected to be larger than the latest map, Polus. Thus making it the largest map in the game. This would be great in order to add some variety to the game in terms of space in maps. This information was shared over Twitter by none other than Innersloth cofounder, Puff.
On the main map, Skeld hits the average point and comes at a balanced size. The next stage, Mira HQ, is a lot smaller and can feel claustrophobic at times. However, this does allow for some fun close encounters.
Then there is the newest one, Polus, which is much larger and enables large size groups to play without constantly bumping into each other. This new fourth map will be even bigger, so you should expect more tasks, more sabotaging, and possibly more venting.
3. No confirmed release date
The release date for the new map has not yet been confirmed. Innersloth announced it in their blog post, a month ago. In the announcement, they said the map was only in the early stages. We are unaware of the pace of how the devs are working, but expect the map to be in the game in just a few month’s time.
