KRAFTON is gearing up for a new round of closed beta testing for its upcoming Dark and Darker Mobile scheduled from April 24 to 28, 2024.
Dark and Darker Mobile will blend survival elements with action
KRAFTON acquired the exclusive global license for Dark and Darker Mobile last August, and since then, there has been plenty of news surrounding the mobile title. Earlier this year, KRAFTON’s management approach mentioned in their KRAFTON LIVE TALK (KLT) was to ‘Scale-up the Creative’ with Dark and Darker Mobile and inZOI launches in 2024, and the initiative has been taken for the former.
Dark and Darker Mobile, an adaptation of a multiplayer fantasy PC title developed by South Korean studio Ironmace, immerses players in a medieval fantasy realm. The game has been popular for its innovative fusion of survival aspects seen in battle royale games with the exploration characteristic of dungeon crawlers, and the mobile version aims to replicate the same.
Although little is known about how mobile gameplay will be, I see there is a difference in classes, with the PC version having eight compared to the five namely Barbarian, Ranger, Cleric, Rogue, and Fighter on mobile. The core gameplay is expected to remain the same, although KRAFTON with Bluehole can add their improvements.
As of now, we only know about the dates of the Dark and Darker Mobile closed beta. Other details such as registration and the regions for the test, if any, will be announced at a later date. Once it arrives, I will be updating this space, so stay tuned.
