KRAFTON looks to ‘Scale-up the Creative’ with Dark and Darker Mobile and inZOI launches in 2024

Plenty of promising signs!

KRAFTON unveiled its management approach ‘From Original Creative to Scale-up the Creative’ while aiming the same with the launch of Dark and Darker Mobile and inZOI in 2024. The CEO of the company CH Kim also mentioned that this year is when the Scale-up the Creative strategy bears its first fruit.

KRAFTON has over 20 projects in the works, with Dark and Darker Mobile and inZOI being this year’s releases

In the recently held KRAFTON LIVE TALK (KLT), its company-wide town hall meeting, the South Korean giant discussed the plans to release new games every year, with over 20 projects in the works, including Dark and Darker Mobile, inZOI, Dinkum Mobile, Project Black Budget, and the next Subnautica game. With that, being said, both Dark and Darker Mobile and inZOI are set to launch in 2024, with the dates unknown.

Speaking about the game, Dark and Darker Mobile, for which KRAFTON acquired the exclusive global license last year, takes place within a medieval fantasy setting. The original IP has gained recognition for its creative combination of survival aspects seen in battle royale games and the exploration characteristic of dungeon crawlers. inZOI is also looking to incorporate Unreal Engine 5’s prowess in delivering a solid product, but a mobile release looks bleak.

The CEO stated: “This year marks the beginning of the launch of our new lineup, starting with Dark and Darker Mobile, and it will be the first year to see tangible results from our ‘Scale-up the Creative’ strategy. With the aim of evolving the process into a virtuous cycle, all members should dedicate their full efforts into game development.”

In addition, KRAFTON is changing its internal structure to help its teams respond better to trends and bring new games to markets faster. For the future, KRAFTON will invest in expanding the PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS game globally and create more games based on it, with a focus on the Indian market as well, which they have been positive about since the BGMI relaunch.
