The anime-themed inspired strategy game featuring riichi mahjong, Mahjong Soul is celebrating the holiday season with its new event patch Winter Festival 2021, which introduces its very first animated character Kazuha Saionji, a daily event ‘Luminous Feather’ and winter-themed outfits.
Mahjong Soul Winter Festival 2021: New Characters
In the game, Kazuha Saionji is the first-ever animated character with the exclusive animated bond outfit, decorations, and portrait frame. Players can unlock these unique rewards by increasing the bond with Kazuha Saionji.
New arrivals in shop
During the celebration period in the Winter Festival 2021, the White Hymn series outfits for Reina Nanami and Usumi Ishihara are available in Shop. In the meantime, the Snowy Night Whisper series for Sawako Kitami and Kaguyahime is added to Shop again to spread holiday cheer and happiness.
Shortly afterward, another 5 outfits will be added to Shop, including new outfits, the Auspicious Snow series for Nadeshiko and Natsuki Shinomiya, as well as rerun outfits, the Snowy New Year series for Riu Kujou, Joseph, and Kirara Fujimoto.

The event starts this December
The winter festival event of Mahjong Soul starts on December 21st and ends on January 6th (UTC-7). During this event, players can collect dice by clearing daily Luminous Feather Missions. By completing a specified number of laps on the event map with dice, players can obtain multiple Luminous Feather Rewards, including Summon Scroll, Sage’s Bags, and Spheres.
