Mahjong Soul, a Japanese riichi mahjong game with an anime theme, has launched a collaboration event with CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion to celebrate its fourth anniversary. The event features characters from the popular Japanese anime, including Lelouch Lamperouge, C.C., Kallen Kouzuki, and Suzaku Kururugi, who have become Jyanshis in the Mahjong Soul world.
The event includes a new match mode, chessboard-themed outfits, login rewards, and more, providing an opportunity for mahjong enthusiasts to enjoy the battle of wits with their favorite CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion characters in this anniversary season.
Grab amazing Mahjong Soul 4th anniversary collaboration event rewards
In order to commemorate the anniversary, players have the opportunity to obtain various rewards and a new background called “Maples under the Rainbow” by logging into the game before May 8th, 2023 at 9:00 A.M. (UTC-7). Additionally, the Truth of the Mask collaboration event is currently open for a limited time from April 25th to May 16th, 2023 (UTC-7).
During this event, players can complete quests to earn event points which can unlock collaboration stories and rewards such as the CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion Collab Illustration, Summon Scrolls, and Sage’s Bags. Furthermore, after the maintenance on 4/25 (UTC-7), the First Purchase Bonus has been reset, allowing players to use it once for each tier of the Jade purchases.
Mahjong Soul x CODE GEASS collaboration brings new game mode and jyanshis
A new game mode called Operation Fortune has been introduced to the game. The mode offers each player four open Fortune tiles at the beginning of each round, which are accessible to all players. If a player wins a round with a hand containing one or more Fortune tiles, they will receive points multiplied by the number of Fortune tiles, up to a maximum of five times the regular points. The inclusion of open Fortune tiles in the game mode adds another layer of strategy and intensifies the excitement of the game.
In Mahjong Soul, four characters hailing from CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion have joined the intense mahjong competition. One of them is Lelouch Lamperouge, a highly intelligent individual who serves as the vice president of Ashford Academy’s student council. Another member is Suzaku Kururugi, who happens to be Lelouch’s childhood friend as well as his greatest adversary.
Suzaku possesses extraordinary strength, which allows him to single-handedly alter the course of a battle. C.C. is an immortal girl who has the ability to confer the power of the Geass, and she remains enigmatic and mysterious in every way. Lastly, Kallen Kouzuki is a half-Japanese and half-Britannian ace pilot of the Black Knights.
New outfits and decorations will be available during the collaboration event
The collaboration event introduces new outfits in the Chessboard Party Series for each of the collaborated Jyanshis from CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion. Four Jyanshis can be seen sporting formal dresses with chessboard elements in their design.
Additionally, players can find various decorations that are inspired and originated from CODE GEASS Lelouch of the Rebellion, including Winning, Riichi, Riichi Bet, Tile Back, and Tablecloth. This event aims to provide players with a memorable experience by featuring classic anime elements and immersing them in a mahjong game.
