Brody (formerly called Protti) is the latest hero launched on the advanced server of Mobile Legends and he is certainly an interesting character to play. Brody is launched as a Marksman with burst and reap ability. Brody is related to Benedetta, so it can be expected that the developers are bringing in a whole new synergy in addition to the new storylines. The skills of Benedetta were amazing expecting her to be the next probable OP hero of Mobile Legends. It would definitely interesting to see what Brody/Protti brings in to the battlefield in Mobile Legends.
Abyss Corrosion (Passive | Blink Damage)
With his Basic Attacks resonated with the Abyss Power within his body, Brody is able to move channelling at the cost of having longer channelling and the lower Attack Speed bonus.
Brody can cast skills while channelling his Basic Attack. Brody’s Basic Attack will still hit the target even if it has gone out of range despite its channelling time. Each Basic Attack deals (+200% Total Physical ATK)Physical Damage, slows the enemy by 25% for 0.5 seconds and inflicts 1 stack of Abyss Mark on the enemy, capped at 4 stacks.
Each stack of Abyss Mark increases Brody’s Critical Damage against the target by 12.5%. If Brody’s Basic Attack is critical, he gains 25% Movement Speed for 1 second.
Each stack of Abyss Mark increases Protti’s Critical Chance against the target by 10%. If Protti’s Basic Attack is critical, he gains 25% Movement Speed for 0.8s.
Abyss Impact (Skill 1 | Burst)
Brody launches a shock wave in the designated direction, dealing 250 / 290 / 330 / 370 / 410 / 450 (+60% Total Physical ATK) Physical Damage and inflicting of Abyss Mark on enemies hit.
As the shock wave travels, for each enemy it hits, it deals an extra 33% damage and applies an additional stack of Abyss Mark, capped at 200% damage and 4 stacks.
Corrosive Strike (Skill 2 | CC, Blink)
Brody dashes to an enemy, dealing 200 / 230 / 260 / 290 / 320 / 350 (+75% Total Physical ATK) Physical Damage, stunning the enemy for 1.2s, and inflicting 1 stack of Abyss Mark on the enemy.
Upon hitting the target, he is able to move one more time in the movement direction
Torn-Apart Memory (Ultimate Skill | AoE)
Brody locks on all the targets within 8 yards, dealing 300 / 390 / 480 (+80% Extra Physical ATK) Physical Damage to them.
If the target has an Abyss Mark, all Abyss Marks will be reset, dealing Physical Damage equal to 200 / 260 / 320 (+50% Extra Physical ATK) plus 8% of target’s lost HP for each stack the target has.
On launch, Brody looked amazing with its design but the most interesting fact was that he is a marksman and he does not wield a weapon. So how does he attacks? Actually, Brody has an amazing looking right hand that is all glowing and fires energy ball/abyss energy to attack. Like every marksman, Brody also has high basic attack damage. But one of the unique attributes of Brody is, he charges his basic attacks before attacking, which means he is slow in Basic Attacks, much like Granger. But Brody actually takes much more time.
Due to this interesting type of attack, Brody would be the slowest marksman in Mobile Legends. And to clarify, the slow attack speed cannot be overcome by items that boost attack speed because Protti still needs to charge his hands to attack. But Brody has a very long range of attack. So one basic attack though a bit slow would do good damage to the opponent.
The active skills of Brody are pretty well synergized with each other and the passive. Every skill and the basic attack add a stack to the enemy. The second skill is a dash skill which can be used to escape or chase enemies. The Ultimate skill has a pretty good range area with a burst attack (like Wanwan but unlike Wanwan, Brody doesn’t need to hit the four weak sides to use ultimate). So Brody would be hitting enemies for sure with the Ultimate skills. And the stacks would be doing the additional damage.
Mobile Legends Brody overview
On initial analysis, Brody seems to be a very good marksman with completely new mechanics. But this new gameplay of charging and attacking would be difficult to use. And also the long-range attack increases the chance of missing your target. These are certain aspects that make Brody very hard to use. One thing is certain that the developers would definitely work on adjusting and balancing Brody to overcome his weakness. Since the hero is just launched in the advanced server, a lot of changes is expected to happen on Brody in future updates.
Brody release date in Mobile Legends
The date of the final release of Brody in Mobile Legends hasn’t been decided yet as Brody has just recently launched on the advanced server with one major update in the latest patch change. It is almost certain that the hero isn’t coming anytime soon. However, we’ll update this space as soon as the date of release is teased. So, stay tuned!
