The Project Next 2024 Update in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is finally on its way to the Original Server as the devs have finally concluded the introduction of some new equipment and talents into the game. These newly introduced items are geared at fixing imbalances in the game whilst further making it enjoyable for players. The new Project Next 2024 Update is also expected to bring about some revamped items, even including merged item builds. It is set to arrive around the end of Ranked Season 32.
Mobile Legends Project Next 2024 Update: New Items
The latest patch of Project Next 2024 Update is expected to be released soon and will feature some new items, Talents and adjustments made to existing in-game Item builds. Sky Piercer
This is a newly introduced equipment that would help to easily finish up enemy targets. Its low HP execute attribute makes it a very viable tool for assassins and burst damage heroes. Its attributes are as follows:
- 60+ Physical Attack
- 20+ Movement Speed
- Price: 1500 Gold
Unique Passive – Lethality
After dealing damage to an enemy hero, execute the hero if their HP is lower than 6%. Gain 10 stacks of Lethality for each kill and lose 30% of current stacks for each death. Each stack for Lethality increases the HP threshold of the execute effect by 0.1%, stacking up to 60 times.
Malefic Gun
This is another intriguing new item that helps increase attack range, thus making it a viable item for marksman heroes like Layla, Ixia and Brody who excel at kiting enemies from afar. Its attributes are as follows:
- 45+ Physical Attack
- 25%+ Attack Speed
- 15% Lifesteal
Passive Skill- Malefic Energy
Landing a Skill increases the Basic Attack range by 15% for 3s. The effect has a 6s cooldown.
Wishing Lantern
In respect of the upcoming new mage hero, Zhuxin, this new item is expected to debut soon in the Land of Dawn with the latest Project Next Update. This item helps counter high HP heroes by granting true damage passive. Its attributes are as follows:
- +70 Magic Power
- +10% Cooldown Reduction
- Price: 2160 Gold
Unique Passive: Seeker
For every 800 Magic Damage dealt to an enemy hero (calculated before damage reduction), a projectile is launched at the enemy hero, dealing Magic damage equal to 10% of their current HP.
Mobile Legends Project Next 2024 Update: New Talents
The New Project Next Update would bring about the introduction of 2 new Emblem talents. Their use and functionalities are stated below:
Temporal Reign
This new talent helps to increasingly reduce Cooldown durations of Heroes’ Non-Ultimate skills. The talent features are stated below:
- The Next Ultimate cast decreases other active skills’ remaining cooldowns by 1.5 times within 4s.
- This only applies to the heroes themselves.
- Cooldown: 20s
War Cry
- Similar to the damage item, War Axe, the new War Cry talent grants damage increase the more one attacks. The talent features are stated below:
- After every 3 consecutive damages dealt to enemy heroes with separate Basic attacks or skills, all damage dealt increases by 8% for 6s.
- A single Basic attack or skill that deals damage multiple times only counts as 1.
- Cooldown: 6s

Mobile Legends Project Next 2024 Update: Other Features and Future Additions
SINGAPORE, 19th June – Get your squad ready for the next evolution of mobile multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) gameplay with the revamp of the equipment system and more in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)! Casual players and hardcore esports fans are in for an exciting time of change, with new features such as the evolution of the equipment system, gameplay rework, and Project NEXT activities set to take place this month.
Project NEXT is a major in-game campaign that takes place each June to share details about the upcoming gameplay optimization and balancing the meta based on player feedback. This is done to create a greater impact for casual and hardcore players alike and offer immersive and dynamic gameplay that is unlike any other.

New and NEXT changes to uplift beginners Players will soon experience an upgrade to the current equipment system, which makes for a more fluid and dynamic playstyle. For instance, a new adaptive attribute will bring more diversity to heroes that may be following certain equipment optimisations – being free of these restrictions creates more fluid and flexible gameplay. This principle follows the emblem revamp that took place last year.
All hero roles will be further optimized, and specialised equipment will be available for the next MLBB hero. There will also be merged effects and adjustments made to purchase equipment, making it more streamlined for newbies who’ve just embarked on their MLBB adventure.
High-intensity play for hardcore Players. The new system will still pose a challenge for ranked players, with adjustments being made to each lane that produces new match patterns. For ranked players, take heed that some heroes will benefit more due to the changes made to laning, which may result in more flexible maneuvers – for instance, check out the upcoming teaser to the battle equipment:
Thunder Belt: Every few seconds, the next Basic Attack will deal additional true damage based on Hybrid Defense to the target and surrounding units. Hitting enemy heroes will permanently increase Hybrid Defense.

New Glowing Wand
This new item results from the merging of Glowing Wand and Necklace of Durance. This provides extra burn and Regen reduction when dealing damage to enemy targets.
New Queen’s Wings
This item is formed from the combination of the previous Queen’s wings and Bloodlust axe to form an all-in-one item. the new item also now has a more useful passive as the bonus shield can be a lifesaver.
Twilight Armor
This newly adjusted Twilight Armor would now be able to effectively counter burst physical defence and even True damage.
Clock of Destiny
This newly reworked item is now a viable choice for tanky magic damage heroes like Alice and Hylos etc. as it now grants extra hybrid defense
Expert Gloves
- 30+ Adaptive Attack
This is a new Small item geared at buffing the adaptive attacks for adaptive equipment. It buffs builds like Sky Piercer, Winter Crown, Fleeting Time
Winter Crown
This is the newly revamped Winter Truncheon that still makes heroes immune to damage and crowd-control effects but now with much better passive conditions.

As observed from the advanced server, Hero Revamps and in-game UI revamp might just be the next key phase of future releases of the Project Next Update. Since this month’s Project Next Update is based mainly on Equipment optimization and adjustments.
All in all, these new equipment and Talents sure prove to be very powerful as it’s now more capable of taking down enemy targets.
