Netflix has revealed a breakdown of its 2023 milestones, delivering a total of 86 games by the end of the year and confirming an additional 90 games currently in development alongside a few games planned in its 2024 lineup. Verdu mentions that Netflix launched 40 games this year, featuring notable titles such as Grand Theft Auto Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, Football Manager 2024 Mobile, and Storyteller. The streaming giant introduced its first two internally developed games, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals and Netflix Stories: Love is Blind, marking the beginning of a catalog of interactive fiction based on popular series and movies.
In addition, Netflix rolled out its streaming beta test to make games accessible on various devices in the US, UK, and Canada, with plans to expand to more countries. Netflix will have 86 games available on its platform by the end of the year, all included in the membership without ads or additional fees.
