Nexon to discontinue Argent Twilight development as it fails to meet quality standards

The RPG game did not satisfy expectations

Japanese-based organization Nexon is reportedly going to discontinue the development of the adventure RPG title Argent Twilight. Being in development for over two years now, the decision comes as shock for the fans of the game.

Nexon’s idea behind Argent Twilight didn’t bear fruit

The reason behind the team’s decision was mainly because of the quality issues that they couldn’t fulfill. Many internal discussions were carried out on the game’s future, and the best conclusion was to put a stop to it as the developers felt it wasn’t going anywhere.

Speaking on the discontinuing of the game’s development, a Nexon Official said to Inven, “We have advanced the service of Argent Twilight in overseas target countries and checked the game quality, but we decided to stop development/terminate the service after much discussion internally as we judged that it would be difficult to satisfy users. We will do our best to introduce a game that can give users greater fun based on our experience developing Argent Twilight.”

Announced first in 2021, it was revealed in the name of a project titled Project SF2. The game also entered pre-registration in selected regions. The game had the goal of becoming the ultimate adventure title and was constantly talked about as being the next big thing from Nexon.

Even though the game was constantly criticized for being an unfinished and not-so-exciting product, it is sad that a few of the games are getting discontinued. Even though the market is growing for games, it has also seen the fall of a few exciting titles, with the Nexon’s RPG being the latest prey.
