The Japanese-based gaming studio Nexon Corporation today revealed a wide variety of upcoming mobile games under development during the Nexon Media Showcase 2021 in Seoul. The CEO of Nexon South Korea Mr. Junghun Lee displayed 12 upcoming titles are being developed in their South Korean office. And out of these 12, only 3 are mobile games. It is also worth noting that some of these games were seen during the Q4 2020 Earnings Conference
Upcoming mobile games announced during Nexon Media Showcase 2021
1. Project SF2
This is an upcoming action–adventure RPG game for the mobile platform. From the trailer and the motion poster, it looks like Nexon has finally found a reply to the global phenomena Genshin Impact. The developers have described the game as a character collecting adventure game. If Nexon delivers the game with proper mechanics and an interesting Hook story, Genshin Impact will finally have a good competitor.
2. Mabinogi Mobile
At last, the massively popular PC title is finally getting a port for the mobile platform. Mabinogi was released way back in 2004 and was a massive hit, but it shut down in various regions due to low player growth. The game is an RPG-style 3D adventure game that draws a lot of inspiration from other MMORPG like RuneScape and WoW. The trailer for Mabinogi Mobile Showcased the essence found in the original game along with some storylines.
3. TalesweaverM
Talesweaver is also a hit online game that is getting a port for the mobile platform. The game was famous for its intricate storylines and great 2D design released way back in 2004. The trailer for the mobile version showcased all the familiar mechanics found in the original game as well the cute 2D graphics for which it’s known. The Game draws a lot of inspiration from the Final Fantasy series and fans of the FF series can try their hands when TalesweaverM gets released.
While all these games were showcased during Nexon Media Showcase 2021, nothing has been confirmed when these will be released and if they will see global release at all. Stay tuned to GamingonPhone as we’ll update the space as we find more information on the same.
