Omega Strikers, a cross-platform 3v3 knockout striker game has been announced by Odyssey Interactive, an independent game development studio created by former Riot Games leaders on League of Legends and TeamFight Tactics.
Omega Strikers is a first product for the studio and is a creative fusion of the best elements of contemporary competitive multiplayer games, incorporating character depth and mastery, physical fun and knockouts, and goal-focused objectives into exhilaratingly fast-paced encounters.
“Odyssey was founded with the mission to ignite the competitive spirit of the next generation of players – one that we feel will be the biggest, most inclusive and most connected ever,” said Dax Andrus, co-founder and President, Odyssey Interactive. “Omega Strikers builds upon the lessons our veteran team has learned running some of the most popular multiplayer games in the world. Today, as we launch Omega Strikers into Closed Beta on PC, we take the first major step in an exciting journey ahead for a game that we’re building to inspire players now and for years to come.”
Omega Strikers is designed as a player-first competitive free-to-play multiplayer game
A range of colourful and diverse characters known as Strikers is featured in Omega Strikers. Starting with ten Strikers, each one has their own distinct personality and set of skills that they may use to control the core, blast opponents off the arena, and score goals. Loot boxes, consumable power boosts, and purchased competitive advantages are not present in Omega Strikers because it is intended to be a player-first competitive free-to-play multiplayer game.
All Strikers can be unlocked through normal gameplay, or players can choose to buy the specific Striker they want from the in-game shop. The Omega Strikers experience will be continuously improved with biweekly updates that provide more Strikers, more arenas, new skins, unlockables, and provide more opportunities to compete.
The basic goal of matches in Omega Strikers is to score at least five goals before the other team; games continue until one team achieves this goal and gets ahead by at least two points. Two teams of three players will compete against one another in each match.
The winners will be the teams of players who cooperate and adapt to their opponent’s tactics and the on-the-spot turmoil. In order to compete against others in ranked, unranked, or custom game types, players can queue alone or with friends. Omega Strikers places a strong emphasis on competitiveness.
Players will be able to maintain their hard-earned status and unlocked Strikers wherever they participate thanks to Omega Strikers’ cross-platform compatibility. It will offer full cross-progression, so players will always have easy access to their accounts whether they are playing on a PC, a mobile device while on the go, or a console in their living room.
The cross-platform multiplayer game is now in the development stage, and it will debut on mobile devices later this year. This game is only the first game of a series in which the Odyssey team plans to use their original characters. Odyssey is now working on a second game, and they’re searching for game developers who enjoy a good challenge to join them on the adventure.
