PAYDAY: Crime War to be shut down from October 10, 2023

Game Over: Farewell to Fun

PopReach Corporation, the developer of PAYDAY: Crime War, has announced that service for PAYDAY: Crime War will be discontinued and will shut down on October 10, 2023, just after a few months of official release.

The reason for the shutdown of PAYDAY: Crime War is not revealed

PAYDAY: Crime War was a cooperative first-person shooter action game available on iOS and Android. It served as the third installment in the Payday game series. Officially licensed from Starbreeze Studios AB, the game aims to deliver a 4v4 shooter-based heist management gameplay, the game had its pre-registration held last December before global launch.

Well, sadly, that didn’t last long. With the unfortunate announcement that PAYDAY: Crime War would be discontinued, the developers PopReach Corporation and the publisher Starbreeze have regretfully not revealed the cause for the game’s demise.

To show their appreciation for the PAYDAY: Crime War players and communities one last time, and to make the final week as joyful as possible, they are giving the players 100,000 credits to use as they see fit. Furthermore, the Crime Pass and Safes are offered at a much reduced Gold cost as well, which will help the players to have a great final experience.

As mentioned above, on October 10, 2023, in-app purchases for both iOS and Android platforms will be discontinued, and the application will be permanently withdrawn and unavailable for download on both platforms. So, let us just take our time and enjoy the last week of the game to make PAYDAY: Crime War a wonderful memory.
