The 2022 Halloween event for Pikmin Bloom, which will be split into two halves and last the entire month of October, was announced by Niantic. Jack-O’-Lantern decor Pikmin will make a brief appearance during this event.
Pikmin Bloom Halloween event 2022 Part I
Players will focus on completing tasks to earn Gold Seedlings which can grow into the new Jack-O-Lantern Decor Pikmin. Starting October 14 at 12 a.m. local time, players will be able to earn Gold Seedlings by clearing tasks from their Activity List.
Beginning October 17 at 12 a.m. local time, players will be able to earn Gold Seedlings by completing Weekly Challenges. Gold Seedlings will also grow into Purple, White, Rock, or Winged or the new Jack-O’-Lantern Decor Pikmin. Jack-O’-Lantern Decor Pikmin will come in handy during the second part of the event.
Pikmin Bloom Halloween event 2022 Part II
Players will use their new Jack-O-Lantern Decor Pikmin to take down new Halloween Mushrooms. Beginning October 24 at 12 a.m. local time, Halloween Mushrooms will start appearing. These special mushrooms come in large sizes only and can only be destroyed using the new Jack-O’-Lantern Decor Pikmin.
Completed items in players’ Activity List will unlock Gold Seedlings that grow into Red, Yellow, and Blue Jack-O’-Lantern Decor Pikmin. In addition to completing tasks, players can also obtain Gold Seedlings by joining and completing Weekly Challenges between October 17, 2022, and November 5, 2022, including the following Decor Pikmin:
- Oct. 17-23: Purple, White, Rock, and Winged Decor Pikmin
- Oct. 24-30: Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple, White, Rock, and Winged Decor Pikmin
- Oct. 31-Nov. 6: Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple, White, Rock, and Winged Decor Pikmin
All postcards obtained during the event will feature a special Halloween design that comes in three different variations. Last but not least, four sets of Halloween costumes will be released for Mii at the beginning of the event.
