The mobile game developer HAEGIN revealed that the global “Plant Our Planet” (POP) forestation campaign will start in their mobile casual social network game Play Together in response to the climate crisis.
KFS and UNICEF KOREA will participate in the POP campaign, the fourth online campaign organized by MOFA. Its purpose is to raise awareness of the need for international cooperation to address the global climate problem.
Plant and raise trees in the metaverse with players from around the globe in Plant Our Planet campaign
As part of the campaign, Play Together will take part in the occasion and serve as a conduit between the virtual and actual worlds. A game event encouraging players to plant trees will be held in connection with the campaign. The event is available to everyone in the world and will give attendees a fantastic opportunity to remember the environmental catastrophe and the climate disaster.
In Kaia Island’s camping area, where MOFA’s official YouTube channel “KOREAZ” will also have an advertising booth. The earth-guarding “Guardian Tree” will make an appearance throughout the campaign. The characters of Minister of Foreign Affairs, Park Jin, and Minister of KFS Nam, Sung-Hyun will welcome players who visit the booth. Trees representing the seven continents will be planted all over the region. This includes pine, mangrove, gum, date palm, sugar maple, olive, and baobab trees.
Play Together brings various tasks, new maps for Zombie Virus mode and more
The players will have a variety of tasks to complete, such as growing the Guardian Tree or the trees for each type of content. Players must first visit the campaign NPC “Groo” to participate. They can begin completing the daily assignments and earning the associated prizes once they’ve met Groo. The number of players who take part will determine how big the Guardian Tree gets. You can also determine how big it gets by planting and caring for the saplings you get inside the Camping Zone.
Additionally, players can make furniture in the Kaia Workshop using the Tree Spirits they’ve collected via harvesting Tree Spirits. The map next to the KOREAZ booth will allow players to view the status of each continent’s involvement. They can also see how many people from each of the seven continents are participating from this map and take pleasure in the harmonious balance of cooperation and friendly competition.
This update also includes new crafting recipes and five new maps for the popular “Zombie Virus” game mode. At the KAIA workshop, new recipes can be used, although some can only be created during specific hours while others can be created at any time.
