Every month, Pokémon GO hosts a Community Day where players have the opportunity for three hours to catch a special featured Pokémon that will appear. However, this October 2023 Community Day, Niantic has announced Pokémon GO meetups in India across 17 cities with the event having Timburr, the Muscular Pokémon, being featured. This will be running on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

As mentioned before, the meetups in India will span 17 cities, where both fans and players will have the opportunity to connect from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. These gatherings offer engaging activities like raid battles and trading, all while pursuing the featured Timburr. The schedule for the same is as follows:

These events mark a significant stride in Niantic’s approach to growing its Indian player base and establishing a stronger connection with the Pokémon GO community in India.
The first step towards the same was taken on September 14, which coincides with Hindi Divas in India, where Niantic announced the introduction of Pokémon GO in Hindi. Additionally, they also took to rename 800 Pokémon in Hindi as a tribute to its devoted Indian fan base.
Pokemon GO October 2023 Community Day: Featured Pokémon Timburr
Timburr is a Fighting type Pokémon, with its strongest movesets being Low Kick and Brick Break. It is especially weak towards Psychic, Flying, and Fairy-type Pokémon. It has a max CP of 1315 and later on evolves into Gurdurr, which evolves into Conkeldurr.
Timburr will have increased spawn rates in the wild on Sunday, October 15, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

Evolve Gurdurr, which is Timburr’s Evolution, during the event or up to five hours afterward to get a Conkeldurr that knows the Charged Attack Brutal Swing.

Four-star Raid Battles in Pokemon GO October 2023 Community Day
Gurdurr is set to make an appearance in four-star raids during this event. After the three-hour Community Day event ends, Trainers will be able to take on special four-star Raid Battles. Claiming victory in one of these raids will cause more Timburr to appear around the Gym that hosted the raid for around 30 minutes.
However, it’s important to note that you’ll only be able to join these raids by using Raid Passes or Premium Battle Passes. Unfortunately, Remote Raid Passes will not be valid for participating in these specific Raid Battles.
Bonus for completing four-star Raid Battles
After successfully completing a four-star Raid Battle against Gurdurr, you’ll find more Timburr spawning around the Gym where the raid took place for 30 minutes. There’s even a chance to encounter a Shiny Timburr in this scenario.
Pokemon GO October 2023 Community Day Event Bonuses
- 3× Stardust for catching Pokémon.
- 2× Candy for catching Pokémon.
- 2× chance for Trainers level 31 and up to receive Candy XL from catching Pokémon.
- Lure Modules activated during the event will last for three hours.
- Incense (excluding Daily Adventure Incense) will be activated during the event and will last for three hours.
- Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise.
- One additional Special Trade can be made for a maximum of two for the day, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- Trades will require 50% less Stardust, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Additional Bonuses
Field Research
During the October 2023 Community Day event, you’ll have access to themed Field Research tasks. By catching Timburr, you can complete these tasks and earn various rewards, including more Timburr encounters, Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and other bonuses.
Stickers
Stickers are also part of the event, where you can obtain event-themed stickers by spinning PokéStops, opening Gifts, or purchasing them from the in-game shop.
