With the grand festival now behind us, it is now time for a recap on some favorite memories from the Pokemon Go Fest 2022. Pokemon GO Fest 2022 started with a bang, so let’s take a look back before the celebrations continue with our in-person events in Berlin, Seattle, and Sapporo.

Pokemon Go Fest 2022: Highlights

This year’s Pokémon GO Fest is a celebration of gratitude and community. Niantic kicked things off with a two-day global event, bringing the festivities to Trainers all over the world.

  • Trainers caught over one billion Pokémon.
  • Trainers spun over 750 million PokéStops.
  • Trainers collectively explored over 100 million kilometers.

Trainers collaborated with Professor Willow on the first day of this year’s Pokémon GO Fest to figure out the best method to find the Mythical Pokémon Shaymin. Trainers were able to encounter Shaymin in its Land Forme for the first time in Pokémon GO, marking the first time Trainers were able to encounter and catch it!

Ultra Wormholes emerged in the skies when the second day of Pokémon GO Fest began, and the terrible Ultra Beast Nihilego appeared in five-star raids! Professor Willow, to make matters worse, has vanished! Trainers met the enigmatic GO Ultra Recon Squad member Rhi in the midst of the chaos, and the two collaborated to catch Nihilego and bring the celebration back under control.

In-person activities for Pokémon GO Fest 2022 have taken place in Berlin, Germany, and will be taking place in Seattle, Washington, USA, and Sapporo, Japan. There are still tickets available! On August 27, 2022, the Pokémon GO Fest will come to a close with a global finale event.

Trainers who attended the in-person event at Berlin were among the first to encounter Shiny Pansear and Shiny Foongus! Trainers traveled through four different habitats, all while working to complete Special Research to learn more about Sky Forme Shaymin. Some Trainers were even able to snag commemorative photos with Pikachu and Eevee!

In even more thrilling news, the Ultra Beast Pheromosa made its debut at Pokémon GO Fest: Berlin, and Trainers who progressed through the Special Research story were able to encounter and catch it. Plus, no matter where you are around the world, there’s still time to join the Pokémon GO Fest global finale event on Saturday, August 27, 2022!

At Seattle Center, four actual habitats—Cloud Sanctuary, The Oasis, Dreamy Mindscape, and Electric Garden—came to life. Each had a Collection Challenge and Pokémon with a specific theme. While doing all this sightseeing, Trainers also learnt about the Pokémon Trading Card game at the Discovery Lab, met famous Trainers, engaged in giveaways, battled, took commemorative photos.

They also picked up merchandise, and participated in giveaways. Others even received unique pictures with Pikachu and Eevee! Trainers followed Rhi as she investigated the Ultra Wormholes under the watchful eye of Seattle’s famous Space Needle, and the Ultra Beast Buzzwole made its Pokémon GO debut!
