Pokémon Go: List of counters for Genesect raid event 2022

This time, Genesect will be equipped with techno blast

Pokémon Go is going to be more exciting than ever because the legendary Pokémon Genesect is making a comeback, as seen in the January 2022 calendar of events. So the players will have their hands full throughout this month. Trainers were busy last week fighting Heatran. The generation IV Pokémon was giving a hard time to the trainers which will get even harder when Genesect returns to the battle scene in the upcoming weekend.

Genesect in Pokémon Go: Powers and weaknesses

Genesect is a generation V Pokémon with insectoid body features. The two-footed battle boss is a Steel and Bug-type Pokemon. It ravaged the battle arena in its last appearance and will very much do so again. Since Genesect is a Steel and Bug-type Pokemon the Fire-type Pokémon (e.g. Chandelure, Reshiram, Darmanitan, Moltres, etc) are the best option in neutralizing it.

Trainers need to implement out-of-the-box strategies to keep Genesect in check. The most important thing while preparing counter rosters is that players need to team up with Pokémon that can hurt Genesect in its weak spots.

Genesect’s strongest moveset is Metal Claw and Magnet Bomb. This time it will also be equipped with Techno Blast which will make it more powerful. Its primary weakness is fire. The only thing that can slow it down is fire attacks.
