Niantic revealed more details about the Pokémon GO collaboration with the Pokémon TCG taking place from Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. to Thursday, June 30, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. local time. This crossover event will feature Pokémon debuts, Ditto transformations, and more to promote the upcoming release of the new Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO expansion. Trainers will be able to purchase the Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO expansion, which includes Pokémon GO-themed cards, very soon.
There will be celebrations in Pokémon GO as part of the partnership, including the Pokémon TCG Crossover Event. Pikachu wears a Pokémon TCG hat for the first time during this event. Pokémon debuts
Pikachu wearing a Pokémon TCG hat, Wimpod, and Goliospod make their Pokémon GO debut. If players are lucky, they may encounter a Shiny one! They can use 400 Wimpod Candy to evolve Wimpod into Golisopod.
Meltan
The Mystery Box, which can be gained by sending a Pokémon from Pokémon GO to Pokémon HOME or the Nintendo Switch games Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! or Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, is the key to acquiring Meltan. If players use the Mystery Box during this event, they might get a chance to meet Shiny Meltan. During the event, the time they must wait before opening the Mystery Box again will be lowered.
Collection Challenges
Collection Challenges based on Pokémon from the Pokémon TCG: Pokémon GO expansion will be available soon.
