Pokémon Unite Datamine leaks reveal an upcoming new Game mode and two Pokémon

New mode and two new additions to the roster!

Nothing excites Pokémon fans and Unite MOBA fans more than the introduction of the new Pokémon to the game. However, this time, besides the leaks of the arrival of three new Pokemon to the roster, the reliable dataminer @ElChicoeevee has also hinted at a probable new Game Mode in the Pokémon Unite MOBA. The dataminer leaks are not very much elaborate. However, we have extracted as much as it hints towards modified gameplay. The actual beta Leak text was in Chinese, hence some language-related problems may arise, but the hints are clear.

Draft Ban-Pick Mode: New Game Mode

Since the introduction of the Theia Sky Ruins Map, Pokémon Unite has made it clear that they are focusing on making the game more competitive. Now, just like many other MOBAs like League of Legends, the Ban-Pick Mode is coming to Pokemon Unite. What basically this mode does is, it makes the players vote and choose to ban certain Pokémon, be it the overpowered ones or weaklings for both the teams just before the match begins.

Players may vote to ban a Pokemon entirely from the game (for both the teams) and also request others to vote or ask for the suggestions of others, upon which the opposition has to face his ban for that game for that Pokémon, according to the leak.

Also, the leaks reveal that if there’s a tie in the vote count, either of the winning Pokémon may be banned randomly. The leak further reveals that you may also request everyone not to ban a certain Pokémon, which you might want to play with. Consequently, only the player might play with that Pokémon. Hence, if someone chooses Mew, neither of the Opponent team’s players won’t be able to choose Mew.

However, sometimes if the banning process takes away all the Pokémon that one owns, one may select from the range of banned Pokémon0. All this chatting can be only done in Quick Chat with the teammates and opposition alike, as much as we could decipher from the translated data.

Interestingly, the leaks say that this DRAFT Mode would only be available in Master Rank. However, Master Rank players do team up with Veterans and Ultras. Hence, does this also hint that in the future only Master Rankled players would play against Master Ranked players? Only time would tell.

New Pokémon and stat changes

To the relief of many, Mr. Mime, Cramorant, Aegislash, Glaceon, Charizard, Wigglytuff, Absol, Blastoise, Gengar, Mew, and Slowbro are all getting their move stats reduced in the next update. Also, Buzzwole, and Azumarril are going to get their stats updated, besides their moves.

Introduction of two new Pokémon

Coming to the most exciting part, leaks have also revealed two Pokémon coming to the roster. This involves a speedster yet again, and another Supporter, besides Clefairy. Pokémon Unite has announced Clefairy suddenly out of nowhere. Now, rumors and speculations have revealed the other supporter, which is supposed to be the Dark/Ghost-Type Sableye. The Generation III Pokémon is set to immediately follow Clefairy’s arrival.

The other Pokemon is the Dark-Type from Generation V, Zoroark. It would be having a pre-evolutionary phase in Zorua too and playing the role of a Speedster. The beta-test gameplay video reveals Zoroark and Zorua to have the ability of Illusion. This ability helps the Pokémon to take the shape of any other Pokémon visible to it for a short time. It may be a friendly, enemy, or Wild Pokémon.

Final Thoughts

This would be it, for now, we shared as much information we could extract from the Chinese beta datamines with you. Also, the news of the 2 new Pokémon is surely warming things up. The abilities of Zoroark would surely be a favorite among gamers.
