Pokémon Unite Absol Movesets

Absol comes with a range of dark-type speedy moves, which can be used to close in on opponents in no time. In the following section, we talk about all of Absol’s moves and abilities.

Basic Attack

basic attack pikachu

Absol’s basic attack becomes a boosted attack with every third hit, dealing damage. It further decreases the opponent’s defense and if hitting a single opponent, it deals some additional damage.

Passive – Super Luck

Absol’s critical-hit rate has been increased.

Ability 1 – Feint

  • Type- Dash
  • Cooldown- 8s

Absol dashes in an arc, attacking the Pokémon, it comes in contact with. This move ignores the defense stat and shield effects of opposition Pokémon.

Ability Choices at Level 5

Upon reaching level 5, Feint can upgrade into either of these two moves:

Night SlashPursuit
The player dashes in an outward arc, dealing damage to opposing Pokémon. If the first attack hits, a second attack can also be performed.

The second attack has the player dash straight ahead, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon and increasing Absol’s critical-hit rate. The lower the opponent’s HP, the more the player’s critical-hit rate is increased.
The player dashes to the designated location and quickly charges an opposing Pokémon with the next basic attack. If the basic attack lands from behind, its damage is increased and the move’s cooldown is reduced.

Unite Move- Midnight Slash

Best items for Absol in Pokémon Unite

Our Pokémon Unite guide on Absol would now discuss the best items for Absol, the speedster in the following section.

Best held items for Absol

Item(s)Why it’s useful
Razor ClawWhenever Absol would use this, a basic attack followed by any move would deal additional damage. On top of that, it would decrease the movement speed of the opponent.
Floating StoneIt increases Absol’s movement speed.
Scope LensIt increases the damage of basic attack critical hits.

Apart from these, Absol might also find these item combinations to be useful:

  • Scope Lens, Attack Weight, Razor Claw.
  • Scope Lens, Focus Band, Razor Claw.
  • Attack Weight, Floating Stone, Score Shield.

Best Battle Items for Absol

  • X-Speed: It can be used to further boost up Absol’s speed. Players must imagine using floating stone, already on a Speedster and then, unleashing the speed booster.
  • Eject Button: Since Absol is indeed a squishy Pokémon, this might help in retreating from dangerous situations.
  • Goal-Getter: Absol’s main objective is to hunt wild Pokémon and score quick goals, this might help in this objective.

Pokemon Unite Absol Gameplay Tips

Absol is a top speedster with top-notch mobility and offense stats, however, quite a bit low on endurance. Hence, the best plan would be jingling and scoring lots of goals, and not getting into fights. Most of Absol’s moves include ones to close in and attack opponents on the close range, at a high speed. Our Pokémon Unite Absol guide would now discuss how to play with Absol from the beginning till the end.

Early Game

Absol has no evolutions. Within the first 5 minutes, it is important that Absol levels up as much as possible. Early in the game, Absol is indeed very squishy. Hence as the game starts, focus upon jingling. Players must select Feint attack first, which can also penetrate walls. They must hunt down the Corphish and Lillipup in the middle lane, along with Ludicolo and Bouffolant.

Collecting as much Aeos Energy as possible, they must use X-speed or Goal Getter to quickly approach any vacant opponent goal and quickly score goals. Players must try avoiding team fights, as far as possible. Being a speedster, it should be quite easy for Absol to switch lanes, especially with the Floating Stone.

Late Game

Being in the middle lane, players must keep an eye on retreating opponents in the game later. Since there are no berries available to restore health, opponents might be rushing back to their bases due to low health. They must ambush such opponents with Sucker Punch or Pursuit/ Night Slash.

For the final two minutes, in the Final Stretch too, players avoid attacking Zapdos, as intense team battles can be fatal for Absol. Instead, players must try storing Aeos energy and score a quick double goal. In case, team members are attacking Zapdos, do join them. Store the Unite move for the Zapdo fight in this instance.

Positioning of Absol

As already said earlier, the best lane for Absol would be the middle one. The intense top lane would be the worst choice on the other side. However, Absol would have to visit either of top or bottom lane. But, the majority of time should be invested in the middle lane, jungling.

Absol with other Pokémon

Our Pokémon Unite guide will also look at the combination of Absol with other Pokémon during Unite battles.

Best synergies with Mamoswine

PokémonBenefits
EldegossThe healing abilities of this supporter prove to be a decent synergy for Eldegoss.
PikachuThe immobilizing moves like the electro-web, passive ability of Pikachu are beneficial for Absol.
MamoswineA melee-type tanky defender who can freeze opponents and take up the damage can be a useful partner for Absol.

Pokemon which are strong and weak against Absol

To be honest, Absol’s gameplay doesn’t require much of a partnership with other Pokemon. Also, Absol is particularly weak against most of the other Pokémon, in one-on-one situations or against opponents with more HP. Strength against Absol depends upon the opponent’s level and current HP.

Pokemon Unite Absol: Tips, Tricks and Strategies

Our Pokémon Unite Absol guide includes the perfect game plan for the early and late game during the Unite battles.

  • First and foremost, remember the endurance Absol has, and avoid team fights as much as applicable.
  • Start jungling from the very first minute and scoring frequently, to level up as soon as possible.
  • Moves like Sucker Punch and Pursuit are excellent for knocking out retreating opponents with low HP. Check on the map frequently to locate them.
  • Use the Unite Move to dodge opponent Unite moves too.
  • Use the move Pursuit to quickly move bhind the opponent, and then land a basic attack. Doing exactly this ould deal dditional damage due to Razor Claw, and also reduce th move’s cooldown.
  • Combine any move with a Sucker Punch, for a sure hit.
  • Use dash type moves to retreat quickly. In such case, avoid Eject Button and choose X-Speed or Goal-Getter as battle item at the start.

Final Thoughts

Absol is indeed a fun-to-play-with Speedster. However, due to its low endurance, some might find it difficult to play with. Do read our guide to the full, and make sure to keep the points in mind, while playing with Absol the next time.
