Since Aegislash requires that you get somewhat close to using your UNITE move Buddy Barrier provides large amounts of shielding that allows you to engage in fights with a large shield to protect you.
Razor ClawRazor Claw is the most important item on Aegislash. Aegislash relies heavily on abilities to damage. Pokémon Unite Aegislash Gameplay Tips

Our Pokémon Unite Aegislash guide includes the perfect game plan for the early and late game during the Unite battles.

Early Game

In the early game, Aegislash is stronger than most Pokémon, due to having strong basic abilities and earlier evolutions than a lot of other Pokémon. Because of this, they should make sure to play aggressively to stack up some kills and win the lane, letting players snowball into the late game. In the lane, one should be able to fight in a one-on-one against most opposing Pokémon. Therefore, one must make sure to take advantage of any opportunities they get.

During the early game, the players’ partner in the lane is usually a Support. Therefore, one must make sure to communicate to your partner in lane what plays you wish to make, for example, if you see an enemy misposition make sure to communicate to your teammate to play aggressively. Once Drednaw spawns, you should be around level 7 and fully evolved. Because level 7-8 is when Aegislash reaches its highest power spike you should attempt to fight for Drednaw if you’re ahead.

Late Game

By the late game, one should have a level lead from making aggressive early-game plays. Players should try to use this level led to carry the rest of your team ahead.

Like with all other characters, securing Zapdos with the team is a necessity. Once Zapdos spawns, Aegislash should try to stay out of the vision of the enemy team, that way one will be able to pick out single enemies.

Positioning of Aegislash

Because Aegislash is an all-rounder, Aegislash is primarily played in the bottom lane, with a supporting Pokémon. However, Aegislash can also be played in the center lane, because of the great attack damage and high mobility that Aegislash has. Because, all-rounders have a balance between offense and defense make sure to position, in front of allies to protect them or stay behind them, instead if players need to deal lots of damage while receiving little in return.

Aegislash specializes in one-on-one fights. Therefore, players should try to use their high mobility in teamfights to move around the opposing team and single out an enemy target. With Aegislash, players should prioritize taking out lower health or weaker enemies, because Aegislash is able to chase after almost any character to commit to attacking and knocking them out without taking too much damage as a result.

All these buffs that Blissey provides make Aegislash an unkillable 1v5-ing monster with amazing stats that can beat almost any opposing Pokémon in a fight.
EldegossEldegoss is another supporter that goes well with Aegislash, because of the healing and shielding provided. Aegislash needs large amounts of health to play aggressively. Eldegoss enables Aegislash to constantly stay in Blade Forme and wipe out entire teams, due to the high amounts of health regeneration and shields provided.
WigglytuffWigglytuff goes well with Aegislash, thanks to their high defenses and great crowd control abilities. Pokémon Unite Aegislash: Tips, tricks and strategies

This guide will also discuss some tips and tricks for playing Aegislash in Pokémon Unite.

  1. As Aegislash, players should practice managing the Blade and Shield Forme effectively. For example, one should only use a shield ability when they need to regain health and a sword ability, when one needs to deal large amounts of damage.
  2. When playing Aegislash, one should learn how to predict the opponents’ plays. If players know they are going to play offensively and try and deal damage, then, they must use a shield ability to increase your defenses. If they know they are going to play defensively or try to outrun, players can use a blade ability to increase your offences.
  3. Aegislash has a relatively low base health amount. Because of this, players must be wary of surprise attacks from enemies and practice using the high mobility to dodge attacks and abilities.
  4. Aegislash needs to always be on the lookout for surprise attacks, while also using their high mobility to make lots of early game plays around the map. Map awareness is crucial when playing Aegislash.
  5. Save the Unite Move for Zapdos. This is an easily overlooked aspect of the game that can change the entire outcome of the game. By saving your Unite Move for Zapdos, it ensures that they can secure the objective and win the game. Players must try to move around the opposing team during the Zapdos fight and use the combo of the abilities and UNITE move to wipe out the enemy team.
  6. One must make sure to check the map before Zapdos spawns. They must look around in the bushes, surrounding Zapdos to ensure, there are no sneaky enemies waiting to steal it.
  7. The optimal ability path currently is Sacred Sword and Wide Guard. This is because, these abilities provide more value, as well as more boosted attacks as their counterparts.

Final Thoughts

Aegislash is a fun, intriguing character to play with a unique and interesting gimmick, regarding the usage of stances in Aegislash’s gameplay. Currently, Aegislash is a quite balanced character, as none of Aegislash’s stats or abilities are absurdly high. If players enjoy playing characters with a high skill cap and a large amount of versatility, then Aegislash may be of interest.
