On February 25th, 2021, PUBG Corporation and Krafton jointly announced the sequel of the massively popular battle royale game PUBG Mobile. Named PUBG New State, this game will be a new PUBG Mobile game set in the future. However, the Indian fans were left disappointed even after this release. This is because India, one of the biggest markets for PUBG Mobile was excluded from the pre-registration. Moreover, the official website’s fact-sheet clearly mentioned that PUBG New State will not release in India, Vietnam, and China as of now. However, multiple reports suggest that the release of the PUBG Mobile Indian version is on the top of the priority list for Krafton, and the upcoming PUBG New State might be released later.
PUBG Mobile & PUBG Mobile Lite were banned in India amidst tension with China
On September 2nd, 2020 PUBG Mobile fans were left awestruck as PUBG Mobile, was banned along with 118 more Chinese apps blocked by the government amid fresh tension over China’s provocation in Ladakh. The Ministry of Electronics & IT of India announced via their official Twitter page that the government of India has banned a total of 118 applications.
Krafton is focusing on the re-release of PUBG Mobile Indian version ahead of PUBG New State
One of the well-known Korean news outlets The Guru recently reported that a Krafton official said that the Indian version of PUBG Mobile in India is their primary target right now, with PUBG New State slated to arrive later in the country.
It is true that India has been excluded from the pre-registration of New State. We are not planning to launch PUBG New State in India Yet. First of all, we will focus on the re-release of the Indian version of PUBG Mobile.
