Recently, on 25th February, PUBG corporation and Krafton has announced the sequel of the legendary multiplayer battle-royale game PUBG Mobile. Named PUBG New State, news of this latest version of this game caused Indians both sorrow and happiness. Amidst happiness that the game was coming back after a long time (after the announcement of the game getting banned in India last year), there was a disappointment as the official website’s fact-sheet clearly mentioned that PUBG: New State will not release in India, Vietnam, and China. A certain inspection in the website files has revealed a transcript file for Hindi, which is hidden. Thus, it might be said that PUBG New State will release in India, but at a later date.
According to a report, the code hides a Hindi version
Currently, the PUBG New State website has 19 supporting languages, but Hindi is not one of them. After inspecting the code of the website, it reveals that a Hindi version of the website has been disabled. Upon further searching, a full Hindi language pack containing various aspects of the website, including PUBG New State’s announcement, was found. Re-enabling a certain code makes the Hindi option appear on the website.
PUBG New State: Possibilities of release in India
The support for the Hindi language, which is predominantly spoken in India suggests that the game might make its way to India, sooner or later. It is enough proof that there are plans for the game to release in India. This could happen soon. It can also mean that Krafton has decided to remove the Indian release of the game, just before it was revealed.
