Ever since the announcement of Krafton’s new title in the PUBG Mobile franchise, PUBG New State, fans have been waiting for further news regarding the launch and distribution of the game worldwide. As we enter Q2 2021, Krafton has just released a new video stating that PUBG New State will enter closed alpha testing which they had announced much earlier.
If you are not familiar with the term, it basically means testing a game for bugs and glitches and to make sure that the game is fit to meet the requirements set for general release. It is conducted in an isolated group and in a controlled manner, without any extra miscellaneous features. The video further informs us that the closed alpha test will be exclusively open for the United States. The test will be to check the performance of the game in its particular system requirements and the network response in various regions. One important thing to note here is that the alpha version will be available only for android users.
PUBG New State iOS pre-order will start after the closed alpha
It has been also said that the game will be made available for iOS users once the Android closed alpha is done and the game will be distributed worldwide over time. The game is supposed to be available globally by the later stages of the second half of 2021, as per the information. Please also note that the game will not be available to users from China, India, or Vietnam as per Krafton officials. No alternate versions have been mentioned yet, and there have been no indications of it happening either.
How to play PUBG New State closed alpha
Closed alpha testing is generally invitation only and it caters to a limited number of players. So there’s no way for anyone to play unless they are invited. So just pre-register for the game on the play store or on the official website in the meantime to hold a chance to play the regional closed alpha test of PUBG New State.
In case you do not know, PUBG New State will be a futuristic game set after the original PUBG Mobile timeline. The game will be set in the year 2051 and will be available with an array of ultra-modern technology and gadgets for players to utilize in-game. The map of the new game will have the name TROI and it will be entirely different from the existing maps of the PUBG franchise. With the explosive success of PUBG Mobile worldwide, the new game is being hyped to take mobile gaming to a next level with graphics and mechanics at a scale never seen before on mobile. Krafton is already getting a great fan response to the initial announcement and it remains to be seen if the game will live up to its expectations.
As notified, the PUBG New State Alpha Test will be running from will be up from June 11 to 13, with applications being accepted from now until June 6. Please note, that only residents from the US are allowed to take part in this limited alpha test.
