For those unfamiliar with the game, Roco Kingdom is an open-world MMORPG set in the vibrant Roco Kingdom universe. You can explore a variety of biomes, collect charming creatures called Rocos, and participate in various engaging battles. Developed by MoreFun Studios, the game was first announced in 2022 and conducted its first beta test in China on August 19, 2024.
According to a recent Bloomberg report, the game is set to be renamed Roco Kingdom: World. Additionally, MoreFun chief Mr. Zhang has revealed their mobile games roadmap for the coming year, which also includes the launch timeline of Roco Kingdom: World.
The game is expected to be released in the second half of 2025, alongside another fighting game, The Hidden Ones. I am pretty excited about the game as it features mechanics inspired by beloved titles like Pokémon and Genshin Impact. Moreover, the 3D world looks nice with stunning visuals and charming creatures.
Originally launched as a browser game in China by Mr. Enzo Zhang fourteen years back, the IP has since grown into popular books, films, webtoons, and even a TV series. So we can expect a lot from Mr. Zhang’s popular work that started the foundation of MoreFun Studios.
