Copper Coin, a solo dev from the Netherlands, has announced to launch its new self-care casual sandbox, Serenity Sketch, on iPad this summer. This game, inspired by an ancient Zen practice of water painting, is also coming to PC via Steam in 2027.
Get ready to let go and find peace one brushstroke at a time
So, Serenity Sketch is a guided mindfulness sandbox built around the idea of the Journey of Letting Go. Here, a warm Narrator accompanies you through each practice as you trace brushstrokes on natural stone surfaces, inspired by the ancient Zen art of water painting. I like the variety of practices here, ranging from recreating mysterious Glypth to drawing inspiration from a starting image.

Now, the gameplay unfolds through a series of themed Paths, beginning with the Path of Initiation, which introduces the core ideas that shape the rest of the journey. And as you complete the Trial, you’ll unlock additional Paths such as the Path of Imperfection, Path of Resonance, and more. Personally, I think painting in serene locations like ancient forests and peaceful shorelines will be very relaxing and fun.
Overall, this self-care game looks very promising thanks to its constellation of themed Paths, eight immersive natural settings with ambient soundscapes and calming ASMR brushstroke sounds, introspective questions at the end of each Practice, and more. Plus, it is designed specifically for the iPad, so you can enjoy the experience either with your Apple Pencil or just touches.
Serenity Sketch is launching on iPad this summer. That said, the game is not yet available on the App Store, so stay tuned for more updates! Meanwhile, you can also check out our upcoming mobile games list.
