Skyesports Pro League 2022: Tournament format, teams, prize pool, and more

Skyesports brings League of Legends and Dota 2 into the limelight along with BGMI!

Skyesports, South Asia’s top esports event organizer, has announced a new round of the Skyesports Pro League with a $20,000 prize pool, featuring League of Legends, Dota 2, and BGMI. AMD, a multinational semiconductor corporation, is sponsoring the event, which is powered by Rooter, a game streaming platform that recently acquired media rights for all Skyesports IP.

The Skyesports Pro League is returning with three games and a prize pool of $20,000, following some fierce Free Fire action earlier this year. This season, the Pro League will feature two of the most popular MOBA games in the globe, with players competing for a portion of the prize pool and bragging rights in League of Legends and Dota 2. Battlegrounds Mobile India, the popular mobile battle royale is the third game. Fans can watch the tournament on Rooter.

Players from India, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, and Pakistan can compete in the Skyesports Pro League for Dota 2 and League of Legends. The two games are presently accepting registrations. To determine the champions in both games, a single-elimination format will be used. Additional information can be found on the social media handles of Skyesports.

The top 24 teams from the Skyesports Grand Slam have been invited to the Pro League for Battlegrounds Mobile India. The Grand Slam ended on Feb. 16 with Team XO capturing first place in an open for all formats.

We are excited to finally host a tournament for League of Legends and Dota 2, and can finally add the two games to the growing list of games we organize tournaments for. We aim to provide something for every gamer through our IPs and the inclusion of the two MOBA titles is an indication of that. League of Legends has also been selected as a medal event at the Asian Games 2022. The Pro League will provide a platform for players to sharpen up their skills in a highly competitive setting ahead of the sporting competition later this year.
