In collaboration with premier free-to-play games publisher Tilting Point, Alexander Winn, creator of Edgeworks Entertainment, is developing the exciting new space simulation game TerraGenesis: Landfall, the successor to the successful planet terraforming simulator TerraGenesis: Space Settlers, which is now up for pre-registration on mobile devices. The pre-registration for TerraGenesis: Landfall is available now on the Google Play Store for Android devices. The game will later launch on Apple iOS and Android devices.
TerraGenesis: Landfall is the ambitious second title set in the universe of TerraGenesis: Space Settlers, an impressive space simulation game that has been downloaded over 28 million times to date. It was designed by Alexander Winn’s one-man development team. TerraGenesis: Space Settlers was a labor of love built entirely by Winn, who coded the game while driving through New Zealand with his wife and co-founder.
Build the first human settlement in another world as you step in Terragenesis: Landfall
Players in TerraGenesis: Landfall will take on the dangerous mission of establishing the first human settlement on another planet. To do so, they’ll recruit settlers, manage resources to ensure survival, and expand their community from a bootprint in the sand to a bustling metropolis. Other worlds are perilous places, and players will have to overcome unique and difficult random events that will change the future of their planet and its inhabitants as they occur.
Players will create towns that are suitable for life and survival, as well as send rovers out to search for hidden riches and secrets. If they succeed, their city’s culture and capabilities will be expanded beyond anything anyone could have imagined feasible outside of Earth.
After achieving initial success with the game on his own, Winn discovered that cooperating with Tilting Point allowed him to substantially expand the audience of his game. Edgeworks has grown to eight people after years of success, and TerraGenesis was acquired by Tilting Point, with Edgeworks remaining the brand licensor of the title.
“Alexander is a phenomenal developer and his success story of creating a game by himself that was downloaded tens of millions of times is just amazing,” said Samir Agili, President and CEO at Tilting Point. “TerraGenesis: Landfall is shaping into a fantastic game and we look forward to helping Alexander grow it into his next big space sim,” he concluded.
