Free Fire South Asia Showdown: Battle of the Stars has concluded with Two Side Gamers (TSG) emerging as the champions. The invitational Esports tournament was announced by Garena for the prize of 10,00,000 diamonds. This was also Free Fire’s first-ever esports tournament for the South Asia region.
The tournament commenced on February 6th, 2021, and featured the top 12 popular Free Fire personalities from India, Pakistan, Nepal, and Bangladesh. You can follow all the happenings on Free Fire Esport India official YouTube page.
Free Fire South Asia Showdown: As it Happened
The invitational tournament featured a total of 12 teams. Each team was led by one of the top 3 streamers from each of the 4 nations to find the best in the region.
A total of six matches were played among all 12 participants and TSG ranked 1st with 41 kills and 85 points. There was a tough fight for 2nd and 3rd position. Gaming with Nayeem from Bangladesh became 2nd with 24 kills and 70 points and Bshow Mgr from Nepal secured third place with 29 kills and 68 points.
The first match played on the Bermuda map. TSG Army won this match with eight kills, followed by The Skinzo FF with seven kills. Total Gaming held onto third place with only five kills.
The second match was played on the Purgatory map. Total Gaming came out winning this match with six kills. Gaming with Nayeem secured second place in this match with seven kills.
The third and fourth match was played on the Kalahari and Bermuda map respectively. TSG Army won these matches with eleven and thirteen kills. Soneeta secured second place with seven kills in the third match. Bshow Mgr secured second place in the fourth match.
Gaming with Zihad clinched the fifth match. This match was played in Purgatory where they finished with seven kills. Gaming with Nayeem emerged victorious in the sixth and the final match of the day with three kills.
Final Standings
The 12 teams fought in the Battle Royale Squad mode for the total prize pool of 10,00,000 in-game diamonds. As the winner of the tournament, TSG received 5,00,000 in-game diamonds followed by Gaming with Nayeem, who finished second and won 3,00,00 diamonds. Bshow Mgr came third and won 2,00,000 in-game diamonds.
