Garena has announced the first-ever Esports tournament for the South Asia region, Free Fire South Asia Showdown with famous Free Fire personalities and streamers from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nepal. After being the most downloaded mobile game in 2020, Free Fire continues to expand in South Asia. The tournament is set to take place on the 6th of February. With this tournament, Garena sets out the objective to promote its appealing Free Fire content in the fast-growing online community of South Asia.


What do we know about Free Fire South Asia Showdown

Format and Prize Pool

Featuring a total of 12 teams, this tournament will see each team led by one of the top 3 streamers from each of the 4 participating nations. The leader would be chosen by public voting and they will look to battle it out to become the best in the region.

A whopping amount of 1 million in-game diamonds (equivalent to $20000) will be up for grabs in this tournament. The ultimate winner of this prestigious tournament will receive 500,000 in-game diamonds. The first and second runners-up will be awarded 300,000 and 200,000 diamonds respectively.

12 teams will be battling it out to grab the pole position in the Free Fire South Asia Showdown featuring popular names like Total Gaming (Winner of Free Fire India Championship 2020 (FFIC)), Desi Gamers, etc.
