Uber is planning to add mini-games to its iOS application

Uber plans to make rides more entertaining!

Uber, the cab service provider is planning to add some casual mini-games on its iOS mobile app for the passengers to stay entertained during their rides.

Mini-games introduced in the app will require an internet connection to access

Uber has not yet confirmed the news, as reported by MacRumors, and it is currently being speculated based on some hidden codes found in the app. The mini-games that Uber is planning to add to the iOS app will require an internet connection as per the codes in the game.

The mini-games will probably allow the passengers to entertain themselves while they travel using Uber. It is not yet clear as to what sort and genre of games will be made available to the platform. The information regarding the possibility of new mini-games being added to the platform has been found in the current version of the application.

If the news is solid, then users might get this feature added to the list of services available in the app in the next few updates. The feature will come in handy for those who don’t want to download games on their devices and want to just access them and play on the go.

As stated before the news is not confirmed but is also not beyond the realms of possibility given so many other platforms have rolled out similar features for their platform.

Uber won’t be the first app to roll out games for their platform

Uber will not be the first app to roll out mini-games for their platform. Many other companies like YouTube have already launched a variety of games with its Playables features like Angry Birds Showdown, Words of Wonders, Cut the Rope, Tomb of the Mask, and Trivia Crack, and even LinkedIn is set to introduce some mini-games for their platform. Hence it is very possible that games could be added to Uber’s Mobile app.

No official statement has been made by Uber and mostly everything is being speculated by the codes in the app. Hence, there is no solid info on what catalog of games will be available, or when will they be available, and if they will be free or require in-app purchases to access the catalog

As per the codes found in the app, there is also no information regarding the mini-game feature being available for the Android version of the app, hence all we can do is wait and let Uber confirm it themselves.
