A new free-to-play running game inspired by the hit PlayStation title Little Big Planet is expected to release by the name of Ultimate Sackboy on February 21 and will be made available on both Android and iOS platforms. The game will be developed and published by Exient under a license from Sony after its initial early access in August 2022.
Ultimate Sackboy will rival endless-runners like Temple Run and Subway Surfers
The game will offer gameplay very similar to other hit titles Temple Run and Subway Surfers, the game offers a variety of tracks for players to race against, and each track brings a certain aspect of uncertainty with it in terms of predictability. The aim of the game is simple as it can get, slide, dodge and weave past classic Sackboy enemies, and surpass your rivals to win cool prizes.
The game also has a multiplayer feature where players can battle it out and test their skills against friends, As you progress, you will unlock more Tiers – allowing Sackboy to explore a variety of awesome tracks, from the vibrantly stitched race tracks to the paper-crafted library halls. The game offers character customizations as well, with players having the freedom of crafting and breaking limits of creativity almost at will.
The game will also feature plenty of daily quests and events just to make sure that the community of the game and the game itself stays relevant. The game will have a very casual and fun feel to it, something which every player would be able to just play and vibe to.
The announcement of Ultimate Sackboy marks and underlines the importance Sony is showing towards publishing and making as many new titles available under their rights to the mobile platforms. There has been a recent trend of late with Sony making many of the other titles available for the mobile audience as well.
