Uncharted Waters Origin, a seafaring sandbox role-playing game, will release worldwide on March 7, according to LINE Games Corporation. LINE Games has updated the game’s official YouTube channel with a fresh cinematic trailer.
Uncharted Waters Origin will support English, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified/Traditional) language options upon its global launch on March 7. Players can enjoy the game on mobile devices (Android, iOS), PCs (Steam, LINE Games’ PC launcher FLOOR), and Steam Deck. There will also be a cross-play feature available.

Uncharted Waters Origin is a Seafaring Sandbox RPG that was co-created by Motif, an affiliate development company of LINE Games, and KOEI TECMO GAMES. It features trade, combat, and adventure content that takes place during the Age of Discovery in the 16th century. Uncharted Waters Origin, which celebrates the franchise’s 30 years of existence, is based on the most well-known games in the series, Uncharted Waters II: New Horizons and Uncharted Waters: Gaiden.
With 4K graphics by Unreal Engine 4, the game recreates the original series, and enhances the immersive experience by 104 fully orchestrated soundtracks, including the original tracks by YoKo Kanno. Uncharted Waters Origin, which was first released in South Korea, took home four prizes at the 2022 Korea Game Awards, including the Grand Prize, Best Scenario, and Sound category.
All players who pre-registered for the game will receive in-game rewards such as ships and gears that support growth. Players can visit the Uncharted Waters Origin website and YouTube channel for more information.
