When is the next Clash of Clans update

The interest value of a game lies in the updates it introduces, and the popularity of Clash of Clans is due to the timely updates, without any doubt. The strategy game, developed by Supercell, is very systematic when we consider the updates, as they bring them regularly, with plenty of new and exciting things for players like us!

As CoC fans, including myself, of course, we are constantly looking forward to the next update and waiting for the announcement to arrive. In this article, we’ll look at the factors influencing update timelines, upcoming features, and when the next Clash of Clans update might be released.

Upcoming Clash of Clans update release date

We are currently running the April 2026 Gold Pass season, which brought a new Dragonscale Minion Prince hero skin. Seasonal updates in Clash of Clans almost always include either a new Hero skin or a Village Scenery.

The pass will expire at the end of the current month. Following the season update pattern of Clash of Clans, we can say that the next Clash of Clans season update will arrive on May 1, 2026.

What to expect from the next CoC update

Every season update will arrive with at least one hero skin or Scenery without fail every month. However, this next update is more likely a Balance Changes update. So other than that, we are yet to hear what else should be arriving with the new update.

But generally speaking, Clash of Clans looks to have more cosmetic options and new event types in the future, so we may or may not hear about that “new stuff” this year.

However, major updates will arrive with gameplay changes, balance updates, and such, which will be mentioned to the players beforehand. In such cases, there will be plenty of new features on offer, which makes it more exciting to look forward to. These will not be part of season updates.

The most recent update in February 2026 was more substantial compared to the usual monthly season refresh. The update introduced several gameplay additions, including a new Hero, a new Pet, and a Spell Tower.

Another major change that happened with the March update was a major overhaul to the Gold Pass system, which introduced a brand-new feature called the Village Helper. Given these major updates recently, I’m not expecting any new updates in the next month or two.

Final Thoughts

While pinpointing the precise release date of the next Clash of Clans update without real-time information is difficult, we can generally understand when the updates are going to come. Still, we do have simple updates in between, so what I write might not always be accurate.

Clash of Clans usually drops a blog post or announcement if there is something huge in the scale of updates, so it is always in the best interest to look at the official accounts for concrete info.
