HoYoverse has revealed that Zenless Zone Zero Version 3.0, titled “A Sleepwalker’s Confession,” will launch on June 17, 2026, marking the beginning of Season 3. The update opens the doors to the mysterious floating city of Roscaelifer, introduces new Agents, expands exploration systems, and also brings various rewards.

A new mystery unfolds in Roscaelifer
So, Season 3 begins with you traveling to Roscaelifer, a restricted sky island filled with secrets and unexplained phenomena. After strange Ether energy starts acting up once again, you’re invited by the Mayor of New Eridu to investigate the situation while uncovering the truth behind a mysterious power known as Pyrois, as special transfer students guided by Velina, Administrative Director of ESD.
And things quickly become more complicated as concerns surrounding Bangboo technology spread across the island. Reports of Bangboo self-destruction incidents, unusual Hollow activity, and the reappearance of a legendary figure from the past gradually push Roscaelifer toward a new crisis.
ZZZ Version 3 update will feature two new S-tier agents
Zenless Zone Zero brings two powerful new S-Rank agents with the Version 3 update, and they’re as follows:
1. Velina
So, Velina is an S-Rank Wind-attribute Anomaly Agent, and she is also the first Wind-attribute Agent in the game. She specializes in accumulating Wind Anomaly, trapping enemies in the Windswept state. Moreover, when you apply Windswept and another Attribute Anomaly at the same time on a target, you can trigger a powerful Vortex effect that can deal AoE damage.
Moreover, if your team has two or more Anomaly Agents or Agents of the same attribute, your Windswept and Vortex damage also increase. So, you can expect her to become more powerful as new Agents join the game in the future.
2. Norma
Alongside her comes Norma, an S-Rank Fire attribute Stun Agent, the ESD’s Chief Technician, who uses a unique combat style centered around her signature hat. With her, you can continuously accumulate the Preheated Chamber, and when you collect sufficient resources, you can create additional Chain Attacks by converting teammates’ Quick Assists.
Along with these two, ZZZ Version 3 also brings
- Rerun banners of Agent Ye Shunguang and Sunna along with their respective exclusive W-Engines.
Version 3 lets you explore Roscaelifer and uncover its secrets
The new sky city offers a variety of activities beyond the main story, from quirky landmarks to hidden transportation routes. So, Roscaelifer seems designed to reward exploration.
New exploration features:
- You can visit Roarin’ Brekkies for daily random cookies.
- Discover performances at the Spotlight Theater.
- You can also unlock a hidden sky bus route.
- Use surveillance cameras for reconnaissance.
- Control drones during special operations.
- You can explore Scamall Hollow using high-speed aerial transit.
- Collect discoveries through the new Interboo system for rewards.
ZZZ Version 3 brings new permanent modes, events, and rewards
Besides the Agents and exploration features, the update also introduces several new gameplay experiences for both casual and hardcore players.
New gameplay modes:
- Bangbang! The Genius and the Miracle Chip: This is a new permanent mode focused on managing Collaboorator squads and repairing the Central Computing Hub.
- Annihilation Simulacrum: This also brings a permanent boss challenge mode that focuses entirely on mechanics and execution rather than elemental advantages.
- Besides this, several limited-time events will also be available, offering rewards like Tuning Calibrator, W-Engine, Polychromes, title, new Drive Disc sets, and more.
Free rewards and major system improvements
Season 3 launch rewards:
- Free Phaethon faction Agent Pyrois.
- Free Season 3-themed Proxy outfits.
- 1,600 free Polychromes.
- Future updates will also offer all Pyrois Mindscapes and the exclusive W-Engine for free.
System Optimizations and Improvements:
- The new Drive Disc Smart Discard feature lets you batch process unwanted Drive Discs with a single action.
- The Drive Disc Tuning interface will now prioritize compatible sets based on your active training plans.
- Outfit accessories like headwear, hair accessories, earrings, and glasses are going to be universal items, letting you mix and match across different outfits.
