Brawl Stars has introduced an exciting new challenge event, the Melodie’s Version Challenge, allowing you to unlock Melodie, the Mythic Brawler for free. The event is currently active in the game and will be available until January 29, 2025, offering a limited-time chance to obtain her, and if you already own her, you will earn 500 Credits instead. Along with this event, Robo Rumble is also live in-game. Additionally, you can earn 50% more Mastery for your Brawlers until February 6, 2025.
Brawl Stars Melodie’s Version Challenge Event Overview
The Melodie’s Version Challenge is a limited-time event with four stages to complete, similar to the GRUESOME Challenge Event, offering you the chance to earn Melodie for free, or 500 Credits if you already own the Brawler. In every stage, you will be required to win three matches to progress further.
You will also need to achieve a total of 12 wins to complete the challenge and unlock the Brawler. Do note that, if you lose a few matches, you can use gems to get additional chances, hopefully, you have enough gems saved.
How to complete Melodie’s Version Challenge event
The process to complete the event looks easy and simple, as you have to only clear four stages to earn the rewards, with each stage requiring three wins to progress to the next one, while rewarding one Starr drop per win. Here’s a rundown of the various stages along with tips for completing them and earning all the rewards:
Melodie’s Version Challenge Stage 1: Gem Grab
Gem Grab is a 3v3 mode, that was also there for the GRUESOME Challenge event. In this mode, your objective is to collect Gems that spawn from the Gem Mine located in the middle of the map. The team with the most gems wins. The Map for this Gem Grab mode is the Hard Rock Mine map.
To clear this stage easily, you can use 8-Bit, Gene, or Gus to contest Mid and collect the gems from the Gem Mine. And if you prefer laning, you can go for Rico, Janet, Darryl, or Juju. Form a team based on these Brawlers, to increase your winning chances.
Melodie’s Version Challenge Stage 2: Brawl Ball
Brawl Ball is also a 3v3 mode, where you have to score goals by carrying the ball to your enemy’s goalpost and shooting. You can win the match by scoring two goals or by having the lead till the timer runs out. It is football with a Brawl Stars twist. The map for this Brawl Ball mode is the Backyard Bowl map.
For Brawl Ball mode, and particularly for the Backyard Bowl map, you can go for Gus, Piper, or Byron, who are excellent choices for mid-control. And for laning and supporting your team, consider using Max, Stu, or Carl. Your primary objective in this mode is to either score goals or assist your teammates in scoring some.
Melodie’s Version Challenge Stage 3: Heist
Heist is a 3v3 mode, where you have to protect your team’s safety while trying to break open your enemy team’s safe. To win in this mode, you must break open the enemy safe first before the time runs out. Additionally, if time runs out and neither safe is destroyed, if you have dealt more damage to your enemy’s safe, you will be declared the winner. The Map for this Heist mode is the Safe Zone map.
For this one, you can consider using Piper, Colette, or Brock to dominate the mid-area and deal damage to the safe from afar with their long-ranged attacks. For map control and flanking, you can opt for Eve, Juju, or Angelo. Take advantage of Juju’s passive in this map to gain more advantage.
Melodie’s Version Challenge Stage 4: Knockout
Lastly, you will have to clear stage 4, featuring the Knockout mode, which is also a 3v3 mode, where the objective is to defeat your opponents in a best-of-three knockout contest. However, what makes this mode so challenging is that defeated brawlers remain out for the rest of the round, and as the match progresses, poison clouds close in from the edges.
The map for this final mode is the Out in the Open community map. For the final stage, consider using Piper, Gus, Brock, or Belle to maintain center control and eliminate your enemies. For laning purposes, Angelo, Eve, or Pearl are good choices for this map.
Complete the Challenge and unlock Melodie for free
Make sure to complete all the stages of this challenge to unlock Melodie, if you don’t have her, or earn 500 Credits if you already do. However, this event also leans slightly towards a P2W model, as winning all the stages without losing can be quite tough.
You are given only four lives to continue, and additional chances cost 9 Gems each. I suggest you form a team to improve your chances and utilize the recommended Brawlers mentioned above to clear the stages easily.
