Genshin Impact community uncovers a major blunder in the new iPad commercial

Keeping it aesthetic doesn't always work, does it?

This week, Apple unveiled a new, improved iPad Air, with the game Genshin Impact prominently included in its promotional commercial materials. Fans of the game quickly recognized that something wasn’t quite right with how it had been played in Apple’s commercial, which depicted a player doing no damage to one of the game’s most formidable foes.

What was wrong in the Apple Commercial

A wide range of elemental reactions is available. The most typical reactions are overload, superconduct, and freezing. Overload, superconduct, and freeze occur when electro and pyro interact, electro and cryo interact, and hydro and cryo interact.

The game mechanics are built up in such a way that some reactions are rewarded more than others in different situations. To improve overall gameplay, enemies are resistant to certain elements, and specific characters are used when the situation is favorable, while the squad is rotated to oppose different foes.

But when Apple opted to ignore the game fundamentals and instead employ a character who isn’t very good versus a monster purely for the sake of visual value, many fans assumed Apple was either uninterested in the game or assumed the fans wouldn’t notice.

While it’s evident that Apple chose to include an electro boss and electro strikes to match the purple color scheme in this section of the commercial, the obvious “immune” tags just look goofy to anybody who has played Genshin.
