Amidst the pandemic, Pizza Hut had recently launched the much-anticipated collaboration with Genshin Impact with photos of the decorations all over the Pizza Hut Gongti North Road Store. The decorations show giant illustrations of Amber and Eula who are reportedly the representative characters for the collab. In addition, Pizza Hut had also put out a stop motion video for promotion purposes. The event is going on now and will last for two weeks. The Pizza Hut Collab with Genshin Impact became so hyped that it resulted in a massive turnout prompting the cops to interfere and shut down the event for crowd safety.
Pizza Hut x Genshin Impact activities to be temporarily suspended
As the event turned out to be too much popular, gathering a massive crowd outside the two Pizza Hut restaurants, The cops interfered and shut down the event on quick notice.
The notice reads – “Dear Traveler: In order to fully cooperate with epidemic prevention and control, Pizza Hut Gongti North Road store will be closed from August 29, 2022, and Pizza Hut x Genshin Impact activities will be temporarily suspended in this restaurant”. Another notice from the cops reads that the restaurant needs to resubmit an evaluation so that the restaurant could operate again.
All these notices confirm one thing the restaurants are not going to open soon as they have initially violated the pandemic control regulations. This case is similar to the last year’s KFC collab with Genshin Impact when a similar thing happened and the event was forced to shut down because of the excessive crowd amidst the pandemic. Although, on all accounts, it is expected that it is just a temporary closure and the event’s operations will start real soon.
