On October 26th, 2021, the Chinese video game development and animation studio miHoYo announced that the HoYo Fest will be held in Southeast Asia this November. HoYo fest will collaborate with different cafes in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The event is highlighting all the major mobile games produced by miHoYo, like Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis, and the popular RPG Genshin Impact.
Everything you need to know about HoYo Fest
All the events will be held in cafés themed after the styles of Honkai Impact 3rd, Tears of Themis, and Genshin Impact with photography zones. All the collaborating cafés will be offering special themed menus including burgers, desserts, and drinks. Fans will be able to experience the fantasy of the game world along with the exquisite food. On ordering special combos, the guests will receive a special gift from the staff of the café. The stores set up at specific cafés will sell exclusive merchandise of the miHoYo games.
On miHoYo’s official website, it was also mentioned that special care and preventive measures will be taken due to the pandemic and guests need to have complete vaccinations done to visit the cafés. Fans are recommended to make reservations beforehand and purchase meals in the form of take-out. The HoYo fest will be held from November 5th, 2021 to December 14th, 2021. The individual game schedules are listed as follows –
- Honkai Impact 3rd: November 5th – November 16th
- Tears of Themis: November 19th – November 30th
- Genshin Impact: December 3rd – December 14th
Special themed menus will feature in the games
The whole menus have not been revealed but a glimpse of it can be seen. One of Nexon’s popular games, Honkai Impact 3rd menu focuses mainly on the 3 Valkyries in the game: Kiana, Mie, and Bronya.
Furthermore, here is the list of collaborative cafés that will be a part of this HoYo Fest:
- Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur): My Town- My Burgerlab
- Singapore: Aniplus Café
- Thailand (Bangkok): Nana Coffee Roaster
- Indonesia (Jakarta): Warung Koffie Batavia
- Philippines (Manila): Moon Rabbit Café and Restaurant
- Vietnam (Hanoi): yet to be announced
Exclusive merchandise and gift items will be available as a part of this fest
The fans also stand a chance to win various gifts on spending a specific amount at the café like event postcards, random coasters, and stickers. On a dine-in or take-out in the collaborative café, the guests can also win a printed tote bag and a cup sleeve. For purchase of the merchandise, you can get a set of Chibi badges of the designated game. It’ll indeed be a feast for gaming and anime fans to experience the virtual world in the real one.
