HoYoverse unveiled plans for the upcoming 2024 season of Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Tournament seriesAstra Carnival: The Prince Cup“, featuring an overhauled competition format. In a first-ever move, participants will be segregated into Atlantic and Pacific Regional Tournaments, facilitating encounters with elite players from a wider geographic expanse.

Competitors will vie for the coveted championship title and a combined prize pool of $60,000 per region. Registration is now open for the Wild Card competitions, offering players a final opportunity to secure a spot in the new season, along with bonus incentives such as 160 Primogems and an exclusive card back.

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Tournament series expands with regional competitions in 2024

Genius Invokation TCG emerged as Teyvat’s foremost tabletop card dueling game, debuting as a fresh gameplay addition to Genshin Impact in December 2022. Throughout 2023, an array of competitions unfolded across various regions, featuring notable events like the official tournament “Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup” and the community-driven contest “Cat’s Tail Gathering.”

The participants of this year’s “The Prince Cup: PACIFIC” and “The Prince Cup: ATLANTIC” will consist of the top 24 contenders from the previous “Cat’s Tail Gathering,” alongside 8 additional spots to be determined through the Wild Card competitions.

Exclusive rewards await winners of the Prince Cup Wild Card matches

The Wild Card competitions serve as the final opportunity for individuals who were unable to participate in the Cat’s Tail Gathering to join this season’s The Prince Cup. Scheduled for April 26 – 28 in the Atlantic Region and May 17 – 19 in the Pacific Region, these competitions offer a chance for latecomers to showcase their skills.

Upon completing their initial match, all participants will be awarded 160 Primogems, with those who emerge victorious in their first Best of 3 (Bo3) match receiving an exclusive in-game card back. Registration remains open until April 15, 23:59:59 (UTC+8) for both the Atlantic and Pacific regions.

Genshin Impact Genius Invokation TCG Tournament 2024: Tournament Format

After the players who have qualified for the Prince Cup are determined, they must progress through the Regular Season (Top 32) and Knockout Stage (Top 8) to vie for the championship in their respective regions. During the Regular Season, the top 32 duelists will be grouped randomly into four groups to identify the strongest eight players.

Advancing to the Knockout Stage, the Top 8 will engage in face-to-face Bo5 double-elimination matches, with the last two competitors facing off in a Bo7 match to determine the ultimate champion and recipient of the $16,000 prize.

The Regular Season (Top 32) spans from May to June for the Atlantic region and from June to July for the Pacific region. The Knockout Stage (Top 8) occurs in July for the Atlantic region and in August for the Pacific region. Beginning in May, Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup livestreams will be accessible via @AstraCarnival on X, YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok, as well as through @GenshinImpactOfficial on Twitch and @genshinimpact_en on TikTok.
