The Hyderabad-based Gladiators Esports, a new player in the Indian esports scene, has unveiled its Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) roster, showing a star-studded squad that includes both seasoned pros and up-and-comers.
Gladiators Esports emerged third in the Nodwin Gaming BGMI Pro Scrims under the moniker Team Destro
Under the name Team Destro, the team recently participated in the Villager Esports Domin8R Series and the Nodwin Gaming BGMI Pro Scrims. Their first event together as a team was the Nodwin Gaming BGMI Pro Scrims. Despite this, they put on a brave performance to finish third behind the top BGMI teams in the nation, earning them a prize fund of Rs. 80,000.
The team performed admirably in the Villager Esports Domin8R Series as well, finishing in sixth place. As one of the 24 semifinalists, they are now charging into the Skyesports Champions Series to compete for the Rs. 25,00,000 prize pool.
Destro, a seasoned player on the scene, leads the team. His professional career began in 2019, and in 2020, he competed while representing India at the Peacekeeper Elite Streamer Championship.
He also competed for Skylightz Gaming, winning the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2021, one of the first significant official esports competitions for BGMI.
He most recently worked on Chemin Esports alongside DeltaPG and Justin. They have won some awards as a group, including first place in the Skyesports Pro League and second place in the Rooter Invitational Series the previous year.
Gladiators Esports’ BGMI roster is joined by Shogun, a new player making his tier-one debut
Since BGMI was re-launched in the nation, the lineup has been competing together. It includes:
- Ammar “Destro” Khan
- “Justin” Nadar
- Parth “DeltaPG” Garg
- Pawan “Shogun” Kumar
Shogun, a brand-new player in the Indian esports scene, is debuting with Gladiators Esports in tier one. The organization scouted the player following its mission to assemble the ideal team by combining tier-one players with up-and-coming talent. Shogun has been participating in tier-one scrims for a while, and his reliable form and mechanical prowess in the game make him a player to watch.
Pradeep, Director, Gladiators Esports, commented on entering BGMI as the team’s first esports lineup, saying, “As a new esports organization, we needed to sign veterans to solidify a brand for ourselves while also allowing rising stars an opportunity to flourish. Just that is what this lineup has provided. We anticipate seeing them perform at the highest level because we think their abilities and expertise will benefit our squad.”
