Mobile Legends MPL-MY Season 8 is set to begin soon as the qualifier phase for the tournament ends. Teams have been seeded for the tournament in a total of ten teams, where eight teams have received direct invitations, and two teams participating through open qualifiers.

The top eight teams for the Mobile Legends MPL-MY Season 8 from the list have been invited and the other two have been made their space through open qualifiers.

Prize pool
All the ten qualified teams will fight for a grand prize of 100,000 $ for the next eight weeks from the Scheduled start. The final eight teams from both groups will move on to the playoffs. The top 2 teams from each group will move on towards the upper bracket, the remaining four will have to fight their way out of the Lower Brackets.
Mobile Legends MPL-MY Season 8 Tournament Format
All ten qualified teams will be split randomly into two different groups; Group A and Group B. From Week 1 to Week 5 the teams will face each other in a round-robin format belonging to the same group. A single team will face the other 4 teams at least twice during these five weeks. All the matches will be held in a Best of Three Format (BO3).
In the second phase of the tournament i.e. Week 6-8, all the teams from the opposite groups will face off each other in a single round-robin format.
For each win, a team will be rewarded with one single point, and in case of a loss, a point will be deducted from the team’s total points. The top 4 teams from each group at the end of the eighth week will move on to the Grand Playoffs.
