Road to Empress II looks like a bigger and more cinematic sequel for interactive drama fans, arriving on mobile and PC on June 9

Shape the fate of your dynasty!

Story Highlights
  • Road to Empress II comes with over 1,000 minutes of live action cinematic storytelling.
  • The game offers stunning 4K visuals, beautifully recreated Eastern palace aesthetics, court affairs, personalized imperial personality sketch, and more.

New One Studio has announced the global launch of their new interactive FMA drama, Road to Empress II, set for Android, iOS, and PC on June 9, 2026. This sequel follows the success of Road to Empress, the choose-your-own-adventure drama, created alongside BAFTA-winning producer Demi Guan, which opened pre-registration in June 2025 and launched soon after.

Get ready to rise from a temple nun to the throne in a grand imperial journey

So, Road to Empress II is filmed entirely on beautifully crafted palace sets with stunning 4K cinematic lighting and direction, and I already think fans will love this. Here, you begin your journey as a nun in Ganye Temple, slowly breaking free from the schemes and restraints of rival factions and rise to the peak of power. Personally, I can’t wait to play experience what it feels like to make decisions as Wu Zetian.

I’m it’ll be fun considering the 1,000 minutes of carefully crafted live-action content. And, gameplay once again focuses more on your decisions, where every choice, conversation, and political move can completely change how the events play out. Oh, you can also support your favorite characters, or even the ones you have mixed feelings about, and influence who climbs to the top of global popularity rankings.

You can handle royal court affairs and political correspondence

Amid all the twists and betrayals, you will soon take control of the empire and shape the fate of the dynasty. Plus, you can handle official cour correspondence, maintain the balance between clans and noble houses, and even issue important verdicts that affect the future of the palace. One of the best feature I liked is the fully personalized imperial personality trait sketch you get at the end of the story.

Overall, this sequel looks very promising, with 4K cinematic quality visuals, reimagined Eastern palaces aesthetics, hours of immersive gameplay, no passive dialogue, fully upgraded interactive experience, memorials, and more. So, if you tried or loved the first part, you should definitely look forward to this second part that continues the legacy.

Road to Empress II is launhing on Android, iOS, and PC on June 9, 2026. However, the game is not yet listed on the app stores, so stay tuned for more updates! Meanwhile, you can also check out our upcoming mobile games list.
