A brand-new Captain Tsubasa mobile game is on the way, as Captain Tsubasa: My Golden XI has now officially opened pre-registration in Japan for Android and iOS devices. From ALPSE, INC, the game is based on the blockbuster manga series Captain Tsubasa created by Yoichi Takahashi.

Starting things off, as given from the visuals, the game will have portrait-oriented gameplay. Also, going by the official store description, Captain Tsubasa: My Golden XI will focus heavily on player training and squad building, so there is a team-building emphasis here.
Hence, you will be able to train your favorite characters, customize their growth paths, unlock iconic special moves, and eventually create your own “Golden Eleven” squad using different formations and tactical setups. The game also promises faithful recreations of famous moves from the anime and manga series, including Tsubasa’s Drive Shot and Hyuga’s Tiger Shot.
Captain Tsubasa on mobile is nothing new at this point, either. Over the years, the franchise has already seen several successful global releases, including Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team, Captain Tsubasa: Ace, and Captain Tsubasa RIVALS, while also seeing hit collaborations with football titles like KONAMI’s eFootball.
For now, pre-registration for Captain Tsubasa: My Golden XI is live exclusively in Japan. If you want to be notified at the time of launch, you can pre-register for the game on the Google Play Store and App Store, respectively. A pre-registration campaign is also currently underway, with milestone rewards such as exclusive gacha tickets, Victory Balls, and Roberto Notebooks.
As for release timing, the Japanese iOS App Store listing currently suggests a possible launch date of June 30, 2026.
