Mobile Legends Southeast Asian Games (SEA) 2023 to begin from May 10

Medal event features standalone matches for women for the first time!

The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports tournament for the 32nd Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) will start in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from May 10 to May 14, 2023. A separate women’s competition (under Female Category) will be held as part of the medal event for the first time on May 10–11, 2023. The Male Category matches are scheduled for May 12–14, 2023.

Mobile Legends Southeast Asian Games (SEA) 2023: Tournament Format

The teams will be split into two (2) groups for the MLBB SEA Games tournament, which will take place in the Naba Theatre at NagaWorld 2, Phnom Penh. Indonesia, Cambodia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Laos, and Vietnam are the six nations taking part in the female category.

On May 10, 2023, all matches will be played in a single-elimination, best-of-one (Bo1) format. Each group’s top two teams will then compete for the championship title and podium positions.

The best-of-five (Bo5) match series will be used for the final match, which is slated for May 11. In contrast, nine nations: Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, Timor Leste, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Indonesia will compete for gold in the MLBB SEA Games Male category.

On May 12, 2023, Group A will begin a single-elimination Bo1 match series for the teams.

The grand final, which will take place on May 14, 2023, will feature a best-of-five (Bo5) format, and the top two teams from each group will advance to the following round in a best-of-three (3) series. Since the Southeast Asian Games in 2019, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has been featured as a medal event. The first and second iterations took place, respectively, in the Philippines and Vietnam.
