Team Soul became the runner-up!

Orangutan Gaming wins the Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge (BMOC) The Grind. The team scored a total of 266 points, along with 138 position points and 3 WWCD. Showing total domination over the others, they bagged the trophy.

On their run to become the topper, the team left powerhouses like OREsports, TSM, and GodLike Esports behind. Team SouL, one of the most loved and globally recognized organizations, became the runner-up event and sent a message to the others that the team still holds a strong ground in BGMI’s pro esports scene in India.

Orangutan Gaming led the rankings throughout BMOC with consistency

Orangutan Gaming led the ranking from the initial day of the event. The rest of the teams were racing to acquire the next places. Runner-up Team SouL showcased an excellent performance and stopped at 247 total points. They were the most consistent team in the event, with the highest 138 placement points. OREsports, Nigma Galaxy, and TSM took the rest three positions of the top five. TSM Ninjajod won the title of MVP.

The event started on the last day of March with 32 invited teams. After fighting through two stages, 16 teams advanced to the Grand Finals. 24 matches were held in the four-day final. Winning the tournament, the champion Orangutan bagged a decent ₹1,50,000 while the second and the third teams took ₹75,000 and ₹50,000, respectively.

The practice scrim was organized by KRAFTON ahead of its main event, Battlegrounds Mobile Open Challenge (BMOC). The top-tier teams in India, before the main event, tested their capacity. Besides, some of the teams also experimented with their future strategy. Battlegrounds Mobile India Open Challenge 2022 is significant as the event will seed 24 teams for the first season of BGMI’s regional league, Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series.
