About PES eFootball League 20/21

eFootball League is an Esports tournament that made its first appearance last season. For KONAMI, the league’s inaugural 2019-20 season was a tremendous success and saw a fantastic turnout from established esports athletes, aspiring esports players, as well as a great deal of support from several major European clubs. As a result, the eFootball League will be returning this year with a scheduled kickoff date sometime in early December. Just like last season, the tournament will be divided into two categories: eFootball.Pro, the professional tournament aimed at elite esports players; and eFootball.Open, the amateur tournament open to all comers.

eFootball.Pro

A console-exclusive tournament in which professional PES esports players are pit against each other. They play as representatives of real-world European football clubs. Final participants are selected after they compete in a 3v3 co-op football matches to determine a winner.
In addition, awards are given out to the players each matchday for things like ‘MVP’ and ‘top goal-scorer’. The clubs receive prize money according to their final ranking at the end of the tournament.

eFootball.Open

An online esports tournament open to all players of all platforms, but the Online Finals will be console exclusive. Splitting of players is on the basis of their online skill level into one of three tiers: Expert, Intermediate, and Basic. This is to ensure a fun and challenging competitive experience for all participants. Just like the last season, the event is expected to be held in matchday mode, where players will get rewards like Club Scouts, Agents, Trainers, and Coins.

Players at the Expert level will aim to pass through the online qualifiers, Regional Finals, and World Finals. The winners will receive a shoutout on social media from the club they have represented, and may also be considered to participate in future eFootball.Pro tournaments.

Rewarding

The esports tournament mode will range from winning Official Club Merchandises to cash prize rewards. As far as the matchday mode is concerned, the players will obtain the rewards according to their points accumulated in Custom Matchdays.
