PUBG Mobile Asia Invitational 2021 Results
The tournament was concluded yielding SEA giants Bigetron Red Aliens, popularly known as BTR as the champions. FaZe Clan and LIT Esports came second and third respectively after an impressive display across the 3-day tournament.
Probably the biggest unofficial PUBGM tournament, the UWS boasted prizes which are also more than that of the official PMPL tournament. The gameplay displayed by the teams was also worthy of an official tournament and lived up to the hype created. But it also saw some big upsets such as an abysmal performance by the SEA and SA champs Infinity and DRS as they failed to make it to the top 10. The Chinese giant’s DKG and TJB who also won the last edition of the PEL failed to get a top 3 spot despite being favorites to win the tournament. But they finished with decent points nonetheless, with DKG getting 5th after a mediocre last day and TJB getting 6th place.
Also, BTR, after a bad run of tournaments since earlier this year, finally managed to win a tournament with a convincing performance which might indicate their comeback after a prolonged absence from the top of the leaderboards for a while.
