The PUBG Mobile Esports official YouTube channel has been taken down from the video-sharing and social media platform. Though the reason is still unclear, fans around the world are getting a bad vibe from the incidents happening for the past few days. Before this incident, the PUBG Mobile Esports official YouTube channel was hacked on October 1, during the PMPL live stream. Now players visiting the channel will be greeted with an error message due to the takedown.
With over 3.2 million subscribers, the PUBG Mobile Esports official YouTube channel is the base of streaming major esports tournaments of PUBG Mobile esports. All the previous tournaments videos, starting from the very first event of PUBG Mobile, were on the channel.
PUBG Mobile YouTube channel taken down: Why did this happen
No exact reason behind the issue has appeared yet. It could be related to the hacking that took place a few days ago. Or could be by the management itself to rearrange the channel’s assets. Interesting thing is, when someone talks about the issue on their Discord server, they put the comment on a timeout.
However, Tencent has said nothing on the issue as well. Besides, it is unclear whether the channel will be back or not. Currently, it is showing an error message that says “this page isn’t available”. So the fans, for now, have to wait for action by the channel authority.
What will happen now
As the official YouTube channel is currently down, fans have to use other regional channels or country-based channels to watch the ongoing tournaments. The PMPL North America is opening today, fans around the world have to head over to the respective region’s channel. Besides, the PMPL South Asia Season 4 can be enjoyed through PUBG Mobile’s country-based channels for Bangladesh, Pakistan, or even from the regional channel i.e. PUBG Mobile Esports South Asia.
